Family Video

A/N: Hey so this is my new story but I just wanted to say that this takes place like as a season 5 but vecna never got revealed and they just live their lives. Also Y/N is a female discovering her sexuality in this. Also Also this is written in Y/N's pov but the first part is a kind of back story.

It was another new town, the fifth one Y/N has moved to since her mom met her boyfriend. They were planning on getting married but Y/N didn't care. Ever since her mom even started dating him she has ignored him. They both promised this would be the last town they would move to but somehow she didn't believe them.

Y/N's Pov:
To make this summer less unbearable I guess I'll go explore downtown. "Hey mom I'm going out!" I yelled hoping no one else would hear me. "Okay sweetie!" Mom yelled back distracted. That was my que to leave before getting bombarded with questions. I hopped on my skateboard and rode downtown.

Spotting a Family Video I hopped off my skateboard and walked in. "Hey- wait are you new here?" A pretty brunette girl asked me. "Uh yeah." I replied surprised. "Nice to meet you I'm Robin and this dingus over here is Steve." She said smiling. "Yeah nice to me- WAIT ROBIN YOU REALLY HAD TO CALL ME THAT NOW." A brunette man with nice hair replied blowing up on the brunette girl. "Uhh- I'm Y/N." I said back even more confused. "Sorry if we scared you Y/N. Anyway what brings you here?" The girl named Robin asked. It took me a moment to open my mouth because I was staring at her beautiful eyes. "Well umm if you mean Hawkins my parents got a job here and if you mean Family Video I don't know I just wanna find some movies to get through this shitty summer." I replied my mouth running faster than my brain. After Steve and Robin processed all I said they just nodded and got back to work. I found two movies, Fastimes, and Die Hard. I went up to the counter to checkout. "This all for you?" Robin asked with a smile. I just nodded thinking about where I'll go next and who I'll meet next in this shit town. "It was nice to meet you!" Robin said as I left the store. "Mhm" I replied in a mumble.

Just across from the Family Video was an arcade and lucky for me I brought some money with me. When I walked in it was emptier than I thought. It was just me, this orange haired girl, and the deadeyed worker. I went over to a game and inserted some coins. The machine did nothing. I tried getting my coins back but nothing dispensed. "What the fuck!" I mumbled to myself. "That machine is out of order which you probably could've guessed from the sign on the side of the machine." The orange haired girl told me. "Oh, thanks." I replied not realizing the sign. "I'm max by the way, you seem new." She said to me. "How do people keep guessing I'm new?" I asked her really confused. "In this town almost everyone knows eachother." The girl named max replied. "Oh well I'm Y/N nice to meet you." I replied. "Hey so I know we just met but I'm pretty bored and I see you bought some movies so do you wanna go to my place to watch them?" Max asked me. "Sure that sound fun." I replied happy someone wants to hangout with me. "Okay let's go." And we leave the Arcade.

A/N: Okay how was my writing? I really need to work on smoothing out my dialogue but either than that I think I did pretty well. Well have a good day/night and I'll post another chapter hopefully later today!
