Jimmy was growing impatient. He could've sworn he had searched the entire palace top to bottom without finding even a trace of Dorkus. The only other time he had been so frustrated had been when he had entered Carl's dream with his Dream Injector. This ordeal was worse than having to deal with the dream version of his own best friend.

"Come on, you can't hide forever," Jimmy growled to himself. Suddenly, Goddard straightened and pointed at a nearby closed door and barked. Jimmy moved in the direction Goddard was indicating, feeling excited for the first time since he had arrived on this planet.

"What is it, boy?" asked Jimmy, moving closer to his pet's monitor, which displayed a lone reading beyond the door. "This is it. I got you now, Dorkus." Jimmy charged into the room, only to retreat almost immediately due to the high pitched scream that greeted him. Jimmy called back into the girl's bathroom, "Sorry, ma'am. It won't happen again, I promise." As he proceeded down the hall again, he muttered to himself, "At this rate, I'll only locate Dorkus if I hear his voice. He's got to be somewhere."

To ease his master's stress, Goddard now switched his radar to voice detection, widening the range to the palace's full circumference, which would hopefully increase their chances of finding Dorkus.

A few minutes later, Goddard stiffened again and began to race down the hall. "Have you found him this time?" called Jimmy as he ran after Goddard, who had now stopped at the end of the hall. After he caught his breath, Jimmy ordered Goddard, "Okay, Goddard, scan to make sure that it's definitely Dorkus and that this is not a restroom inhabited by a banshee-wailing alien."

Goddard complied and his scan results indicated that there was not one but three life forms behind the door, though one of them, without a shadow of a doubt, was Dorkus. "Now we got you," said Jimmy slyly to himself, then to Goddard, "Goddard, record mode, but stay invisible." This would be very essential. If anything happened to Jimmy, it would be up to Goddard to warn Nesmith and the others.

Now Jimmy placed his head against the side of the door, listening to Dorkus speak to whoever was in the room with him. "Everything is ready now," he heard Dorkus saying. Jimmy had dealt with enough villains to tell when they were monologuing, which was exactly what Dorkus was doing now. "All of them are exactly where we need them. At last, I will have rid myself of the usurping fool and his friends, I will have regained my status as royal advisor, and I will secure the throne for you, Oomlaa."

Jimmy was only just able to hold back a gasp. This was fortunate, as he now heard the princess reply to Dorkus, "Yes, the wait will soon be over. I understand why you would want me to play along with my father's plan to have me marry Sheen, but all the same, it was bothersome."

"Never fear, our patience shall pay off tonight," said Dorkus soothingly, "Once I have destroyed Sheen, his friends, and your father, you will be able to rule Zeenu with an iron fist just as you always wanted. Now for me to present the weapon that will wipe them all out. Pinter, bring out the Death Ray!" There was a moment of silence, indicating that Dorkus's flying eye of a servant had failed to find this Death Ray. Finally, Dorkus broke the silence. "I said, bring out the Death Ray!" Apparently, nothing happened. "Fine, said Dorkus impatiently, "I'll get it! Excuse me, Oomlaa."

"Of course," said Oom as Jimmy heard what was unmistakably Dorkus shoving Pinter aside, with the latter crashing into the door. This caused Jimmy to fall over. He stayed motionless, knowing that Pinter must've heard him. Before Pinter could explore, however and fortunately for Jimmy, Dorkus had returned with the Death Ray.

"Now behold my Death Ray!" he announced, "One blast is enough to incinerate one individual at a time. We'll have to destroy everyone in the ballroom, of course; we can't afford to leave witnesses."
