(Cole's POV)
I woke up in a strange room, sitting on a bunk bed. I sat up and rubbed my eyes, utterly confused.
Where the f($: am I?!
I sink through the bottom of my bed and down to the floor. I stand up, only to find myself standing in the middle of someone else's bed and in their body.
Uhh, crud. How do I explain this to them?
They shifted and sat up. "Uh, Cole? Why are you inside of my bed and my chest?"
"Uh. I didn't know you were still asleep."
"So, you do this every day?"
"Yes," I lied. In truth, I had no clue if I did or not.
"Oh. Okay. Next time, do it to Jay. It would be funnier."
"Uh. Right. Sorry."
"Kai, Cole! We're going to do some training before breakfast."
"Sounds good, sis!" the man, Kai apparently, shouted at the feminine voice before turning back to me. "Race ya?"
"Sure," I agreed. Wait, why did I do that? I didn't know this place! Am I some sort of idiot?
Kai hopped out of his bed and ran out the door. I shrugged to myself and ran after him, running right through the door. I could hear him laughing as he raced through the halls.
"Cole!" someone's voice called out.
I stopped running and looked at the voice. "That's me!"
The blue dressed man chuckled. "Yep. Careful, Zane just mopped and the floors are still soaking and there's some puddles."
Puddles? Crap, water! I can't touch water!
Wait, how do I know that? Is water fatal?
Yes! Yes, it is! I can't touch it! I could die! I don't want to die!
"Thanks for the heads up," I thank him, trying my hardest not to freak out on the outside.
My thoughts screamed at me to stay away from all water. Water's bad. Water's so very bad.
Wait, I can float above the water! I don't have to panic.
I begin to float about two feet off the ground and continue following Kai's laughter. I know he's won, but I still should arrive where I'm needed.
The blue dressed man walked alongside me, bouncing with each step.
Oh wow, he's cute. I could feel my cold cheeks warm and I quickly looked away.
We made a turn and went up some stairs. The sun was bright, but the air felt so good. It smelled salty.
Oh god, we're on a ship in the middle of the ocean!
Water! Must avoid the water!
"Cole?"
I looked at the blue dressed man, hm, I'll just call him bdm for short. "Yeah?"
"Are you okay? You're looking green."
I blinked and looked at my hand. "But, I'm always green."
Bdm tried to pat my back, but his hand went right through me. "I know, I'm just making a joke. But are you feeling okay?"
"I guess so. Just had a bad dream."
"What was it about?"
Crap, think Cole, think.
"I was trapped on this little island in the middle of the ocean. There was just a single palm tree and I had to climb it so the strong and big waves didn't hit me. My stomach was empty and I felt lonely and scared. I wanted someone to pull me to safety and tell me that it was all okay, but no one did."
Bdm blinked then frowned. "That's horrible! I'm sorry you had a dream like that."
I shrugged. "It's fine. We should get to, uhm, training."
Bdm nodded. "Nya's in charge of the challenges today, so, it'll be physically and mentally draining."
"Oh. That's great."
"It'll be good for later."
I shrugged. "I suppose."
