(Kai's POV)

Wu nodded. "That is a good place for him now. Jay, return to him and we will figure out how to help him. Everyone else, we are going to the library for some research."

Jay nodded and left the room. We all look at each other, concerned and confused.

"Cole's memories are leaving?"

"I am afraid so."

Nya saddened. I know she's had a crush on Cole for a long time and it's why she kept rejecting Jay. Now, he was forgetting everyone and himself.

That wasn't good for anyone. Cole was the foundation of the team. He was willing to lead when Wu and Lloyd could not.

I bent over and tried not to cry, but failed. How could I have brushed it off as nothing?

I failed Cole as a teammate. I failed him as a brother.

Someone put their hand on my back. It was a little comforting, but everything still hurt. How could we have been so ignorant? Cole deserves better.

After a few minutes, I stood up and left the room. It was time for us to go to the library to help Cole. The First Spinjitzu Master knows he deserves our help after all he's done for us.

We passed by the kitchen on our way out and I stopped. Just knowing Cole wasn't doing so hot and hasn't made me feel so guilty.

How could we have not noticed? It was kinda obvious now. The long pauses and blank stares. It made sense.

But why was he forgetting?

Nya turns the Bounty around and we begin traveling back to Ninjago City. It was going to take a while, so everyone but Nya, Jay, and Cole went to the Bounty's library to read.

Let it be known, I'm not a fan of reading. I love comic books and that's it.

But, if it was going to help my brother in everything but blood, I'll gladly do it. Again and again.

~~Time Skip~~

Hours passed and we couldn't find anything! Nya said that we needed to break for dinner, but I couldn't. I have to know what's going on with Cole.

"Kai. We need to eat."

"I'll eat later."

"Kai, Cole's going to be there and Jay's been telling him about us. He wants to meet us all again."

"He does?"

My sister nodded. "Come on."

I set my book down and stand up, stretching as I did so. "Hm. Let's go."
