Chapter 37

Sam was still in the smokestack. 

The smoke was rising up to her head.

She stuck her nose in the air to get some oxygen then saw the place had a hole in the top for the smoke to be released.

"Did the Joker really think I'd die in here?" said Sam to herself.

She flew up and escaped through the top of the smokestack.

Alfred, Charles Wallace and Calvin were on their way to save her.

"You go to Disney Actorville, Alfred. See if Rose Grayson is still there. We'll push on here" said Calvin.

"At once, Master Calvin" said Alfred.

He rushed to Actorville where Commissioner Cook and Lieutenant Mathers were waiting for the Warriors.

"Where is Rose Grayson?" said Alfred.

"That's the problem. She's been kidnapped" said Commissioner Cook.

"The Dynamic Duo went to rescue her, but they've been gone a very long time" said Lieutenant Mathers.

"And so have the Three Warriors. Where could they be?" said Commissioner Cook.

"The Warriors are on their way, sirs. Doubtless they won't find where the duo are as soon as they hear of their disappearance" said Alfred.

Back at the hideout, Charles Wallace and Calvin were hurrying to the Joker's trap when they saw Sam fly through the top of the smokestack.

"Sam!" Charles Wallace shouted.

"Guys! You okay?" said Sam.

"We're fine! Are you?" said Calvin.

"Never better! How'd you escape?" said Sam.

"We can't explain now. We gotta hurry back to Actorville" said Charles Wallace.

"Right! I'm coming" said Sam.

She flew down from the smokestack and joined her friends.

"Let's move" said Calvin.
