TW: slight cussing, wound, drowning, being tied up
Ranboo's POV
I was walking into the forest. I usually don't go very far, but today I got lost in my thoughts and wandered off far, and I couldn't find my way back. I came across a river. I thought I heard some noise, but shrugged it off as it was probably just an animal. The fast rushing water was calming, so I sat down to clear my head.
After a few moments, I heard a little squeal and looked over to see a short blonde haired boy falling into the water. All I saw was his hands tied together before he fell in. He didn't resurface.
Crap! He can't swim because of his hands! I though as a stood up, scanning the water not seeing him anywhere.
I heard frantic splashing down the river some. The current had already pulled him away. I ran down the bank, following him. I know how to swim, but I've never been much of a fan of water.
I saw some red stuff around him, and flipped when I thought it was blood. I had to save this boy! Without a second thought, I jumped in the river. I swam to him and wrapped my arms around his torso. There was something really big on his back that made it difficult. I figured it was a backpack or something.
But boy, was I in for one helluva surprise.
I pulled the boy out of the water onto the river bank. He was coughing hysterically. We both were. Only now did I realize what was on his back.
"Holy jesus!" I yelped. Then I saw his big tail. "What the hell..?"
He looked frightened when he saw me. He sat with his knees pulled to his chest as he stared into my soul.
"I-I...uhm...are you...alright?" I asked. He slowly nodded. "Do you want me to help you with that?" I pointed to his wrists. He nodded again. When I say I was properly freaking the heck out, I mean it.
I sat on my knees beside of him and slowly reached for his arms. I fiddled with the tie for about five minutes and couldn't get it off.
"I can't get it." I sighed.
He made a little 'brr' sound like the noise birds make, and motioned to his wings.
"Oh, are your wings tied too?" I asked. He nodded. "Can I see?" He shifted to have his back to me. I took that as a yes, and began to look for the rope in his wings. It was actually just a clip. Like the ones they put on birds at a Zoo to keep it from flying away if it's not caged, only bigger. I easily got it off.
"There you go! All better!" I said. He wobbly stood up and stretched his wings. I assume they had been tied for quite a while because they popped when he stretched. I stood up beside him. He smiled at me. "Tank...you.." He said. "No problem! And it's thank not tank. Buts it's ok!" I giggled. "Thhh...thank?" He questioned. "Perfect!"
He smiled, showing large fangs.
"I like your teeth!" I said. "Thank you!" He said. I smiled. "Say, why are you all tied up? Where are your parents?" I asked. He looked sad at this. "Oh...I'm sorry." I said. He shrugged.
Only now did I really see what he looked like. He was really cool looking.
(He looks like the cover photo)"What's your name?" I asked. He cocked his head to the side like he was confused. "Name?" He questioned. "Yeah, like, what do you go by? Like uhh, my name is Ranboo!" I said. "Don't have." He said. "You don't have a name?" He nodded. "How about I come up with a name for you then?" I said. He nodded.
"How about...Felix?" I said. He looked disappointed. "Yeah, no that's a bad one. Uh, Luke?" He shrugged. "Tommy?" He perked up when I said this. "You like Tommy?" He nodded rapidly. "Tommy it is, then!" I cheered, pumping my fists into the air.
"Hurt..." He said, pointing at my left arm. "Hm?" I looked over. I had a big open wound on my arm. I had apparently got cut on a rock or something in the water. "Oh, well then." I said. It hadn't been hurting because I was completely unaware of it being there, and the adrenaline rush probably had something to do with it.
"Heal?" Tommy asked. "Uhhh, yeah I guess I need healing? I'll patch it up when...if I get home." I said. He grabbed my arm and held his right hand over it. "Uh, what are you-" "Shut." He said. I shut.
My cut started glowing gold under his hand. After just a few moments, I was healed and it looked like nothing had happened.
"Woah! You have powers?! That's so cool!" I said. He giggled. "What all can you do?" "Hm...heal. Fire breath." He said. "Is that it?" I questioned. "Dunno."
