TW: cussing, mention of theft, crying, injuries
Karl's POV
It wasn't long before we pulled up to the edge of a forest that had a narrow windy path. "We get out here. This is as far as the car goes." Sapnap said. I just nodded and got out with Tommy still clinging onto me like a baby Koala.
We walked through the narrow path for about five minutes before we came to a clearing with a house in the middle. We walked up to the porch. Before I could actually step onto the porch, Sapnap told me to wait at the bottom. He knocked at the door and opened it before anyone had the time to get up and answer it.
"Hey, guys!" He said. "Sapnap!" I heard a younger sounding British boy say. "Hey! So, uh, I have...something. When I show you, I'm gonna need you all to stay calm so they don't get scared." Sapnap said. "Ok..?" An older sounding male said.
Sapnap motioned for me to come into the home. I reluctantly stepped onto the porch and through the threshold of the home.
There were 11 pairs of wide eyes on me.
"T...Tommy?" A short brown haired boy choked out. He stood up and I wrapped my wings around Tommy and backed up, still not a hundred percent sure how I felt about this. And like I told Sapnap, until I'm a hundred percent sure, I'm not letting go of Tommy.
"Hey, it's ok Karl." Sapnap said. "They won't hurt you. You're safe now." He smiled. "Yeah, I lot of people have told me that in my past and look where I ended up!" I said. "I can't even use any of my damn powers because I'm so worn out."
It was silent. I didn't like it.
"C-Come sit down, mate!" The older male said. I looked over at Sapnap for reassurance. "It's ok." He said. I let out a deep breath and slowly walked over to the couch they were at and sat down. I still had my wings around Tommy.
"What-" The pink haired boys started but I cut him off instantly. "Sh. He's sleeping." I said. "Right, sorry." He said. "You really care about him, huh?" A man with similar scars to Tommy's said. "Duh. He's the only person I've talked to in over a year." I said. "Well...I'm Sam." He said.
"Ah, Tommy's talked about you. He says he doesn't regret sacrificing himself." I said.
There was another silence.
"Can I see him?" A boy with black and white hair asked. I hesitantly removed one of my wings, revealing the sleeping tattered boy.
"What the hell happened to him?!" The boy gasped. "H-His horns! They're just jagged...nubs! And his arms!" "He uh, tried to escape and they didn't take it very lightly." I said.
Time skip
I got to know everyone's names and a little bit about them. I didn't tell them anything about myself though. I was still a like iffy. Tommy had woke up and he was very emotional when he saw everyone. He still wasn't talking much though. The most he said was stuff like: 'I'm sorry' and 'I missed you so much.'
Through all of this, I still never let go of him, and he didn't try to get down. He understood why I was clinging to him, and he didn't mind.
"Oh! You must be so hungry! Do you want me to go get you something?" Phil asked. "That...would be nice..." I said. Tommy just rapidly nodded. Phil got up and left for a little while. Tommy was now sat beside of me, but I still had an arm around him. After a while, Phil came back with two bowls with some steaming liquid inside.
"What is it?" I asked. "Soup. I figured I shouldn't give you much because it's not good to eat a big meal if you've been starving for a while." He said.
I made sure Tommy was gonna eat before I started on mine. It was really good.
Or maybe it was shit and I was just too hungry to know.
Sapnap's POV
I watched as Tommy scarfed down his food and Karl made sure he was gonna eat before eating his.
"So...Sapnap. Where the hell did you find them? How the hell did you find them?" Techno asked. Everyone started staring at me except Tommy who was too focused on his bowl of soup. Karl shifted uncomfortably in his seat.
"Uhh." I nervously laughed. "I kinda had to uh, buy...them? For like, eight hundred thousand dollars?" "You what?! Where did you get all of that money?! Who did you buy them from?!" Dream asked.
I went on to explain to them how I got an email and all that stuff. They were shocked to say the least.
"That doesn't explain where you got all that money." Ranboo budded in. "My uh, parents...yeah, my parents are rich." I lied. Karl looked confused. "Wait, I thought Officer Callahan said they only sent the message to mafia bosses and criminals. Am I wrong?" He said.
Silence.
"Ooohh, busted~!" Tommy spoke for the first time in a while.
"Sapnap..?" Wilbur said. I sighed. "Fine. I steal. But I only use the money to help my mom pay for her medical bills and medications! This was...just an exception." I said.
Somehow, they understood me, and didn't mind as much as I thought they would. They still felt safe around me as I had never stole from any of them. Nothing changed in our relationships.
