TW: Cussing, being tied up, mention of being able to kill, slight crying, talk of being malnourished

Sam's POV

I was confused. Tommy had just sacrificed himself to save...me. Me of all people. I ran out of the small storage room into the main family room. Everything was a mess. And there were no soldiers in sight even when I looked out of the window.

"Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck!" I grabbed my hair. "They're gonna fucking kill him! Either that or make him wish he was dead! Oh god..!" I said. "W-What are we gonna do..?" Tubbo asked. "I...I don't know."

Tommy's POV

They threw me into a dark and empty room with just a chair in the middle. There were no lights and no furniture besides that one old wood chair. The floor, walls, and ceiling were all make of cracked concrete.

They tied my arms down to the arms of the chair and they tied my torso onto the back of the chair with some old rope.

"Welcome to hell, freak." The man said. I spat on him, earning a slap that didn't really affect me that much.

Soon after, he left. I was in silence for a bit before I heard a voice.

"Hello there, little one." They said. "Wha- who the fuck are you?...Where the fuck are you?!" I said. "I'm over in the back...right? No, left? I dunno. I'm in a corner. It's hard to tell with how dark it is. I haven't seen much light in a whole year." They said. "Well...what's your name?"

"I'm Karl Jacobs. You?"

"Tommy."

"That's a lovely name, Tommy." Karl said. "Same to you, I guess." I said. "Say, Tommy. Why are you here?" "Well, uh, don't freak out, but I'm a dragon hybrid. That's why." I nervously laughed. "Why would I freak out?" He asked. "Uh, I don't know, because everyone kinda does?"

"Silly, you! I'm a dragon as well!" Karl laughed. "What?! You are?" I asked. "Yeah! What are your powers?" "I can make plants or any nature related living thing besides animals, I can make fire, shrink myself, heal, and kill. What about you?" I said.

"That's nice! I can heal, talk to animals, make light orbs, move things with my mind, teleport, and talk to people with my mind." He said.

"Then how come you haven't seen light in a year if you can make light? And if you can teleport then how come you're here? And if you can move thing why haven't you ever opened that door?" I asked. "I have to be properly nourished to make my light orbs. They don't feed us often and when they do it's like, actual dog shit. Not literally, but you know what I'm saying." He chuckled.

"Same with making my orbs, I have to me probably nourished to move more heavy things. Like I could move your chair right now because it's light, but not the door because it's heavy." He said.

"And I have to be in a bigger and brighter room to be able to teleport. Don't ask why, I don't know. It makes my power kinda useless because I would never really have much of a reason to teleport unless I'm trapped somewhere, and if I'm trapped it's more then likely gonna be in a small dark room like where we are now." He added.

"So...are you like, tied up at all?" I asked. "Nope. They untie you once you've lost all hope." Karl said. "Oh...you've lost hope?" "Yep. It's impossible to get outta here." He said. "Well looks like I'm gonna be tied up for a long time because I don't give up easily."

"I said the same thing. It was just two months before I gave up. Believe me, kid; you'll lose hope much faster then you think." He sighed.

There was a long silence.

"So we're are you from?" I asked. "A small remote island off the east coast of Japan where only other animals and I lived." He said. "But you speak English?" "I learnt it."

I nodded even though he couldn't see me.

"I was kinda like the Kimono Dragon. I'm what other parts of the world would say was just a myth and say it was just 'of of those things' my people believed in. When in reality, I'm not a myth. Just nobody had ever physically seen me." He said. "Cool."

"So where are you from?" He asked. "A rainforest. I don't know exactly where." I responded.

Time skip

"Hold on I just got an idea." I said. I shrunk myself down enough to slide my arms out of the ropes, and I untied the rope around my torso.

"Holy shit that worked!" I squealed. "What worked? What did you do?" Karl asked. "I shrunk myself and got out of the ropes!" "Oh! That's good!"

I went over to where Karl's voice was coming from. My feet didn't make any noise on the floor, and when I touched him he flinched back. "Jesus! You scared me!" He said. "Sorry." I replied.

"Gimme is a second." I said. I lit a little flame in my hand. "Woah..." Karl gasped. The light wasn't enough to really see what he looked like. I make some wood on the ground in front of us and lit it, creating a small makeshift campfire.

He squinted at the sudden brightness. It took him a minute to adjust to it. As he was easing into it, I took note of what he looked like.

He had brown fluffy hair, his horns were like crystals, he had beautiful white wings with purple accents, a tail similar to his wings, one of his eyes were yellow, the other was a blueish green, and they both had purple swirls in the middle of them.

I noticed he started getting tears in his eyes.

"Hey, what's wrong?" I asked. "N-Nothings wrong! It's just that it's been so long since I've seen much light that this is just kinda...emotional for me? I dunno, it's stupid." He sniffed. "No! It's not stupid! Believe me I was holding back tears when I found out I'm not the only dragon in the world a few minutes ago!" I laughed.

"Thank you, Tommy."

"No problem, big man."
