Klance Oneshots

Teacher AU PT 2

It was safe to say that practice went rather poorly. Instead of practicing and running drills the girls insisted on Keith spilling the tea since it was obvious his mind was somewhere else. After 5 mins of arguing Keith lost, of course, saying it was 1 vs 18 high school varsity girls. So, Keith dumped everything on them, and the girls screamed in delight taking in all the drama. An entire hour of practice gone, talk about Keiths love life and what he was going to do but he didn't want to spoil too much of his plans so instead he cut practice early and told them to go home and to not tell a soul.

After dropping 2 girls off at their own homes, Keith drove to the restaurant, hit his head on the car wheel a couple of times then entered to have dinner with his mother.

"Wow. You are a mess." Krolia laughed at his embarrassment with a wine glass in her hand. Keith told her everything that happened and what he should do now. "I just don't know what to do, mom. I can't just wait a whole day acting like I don't know!" He groaned and hid his face in his hands.

"Well, you're going to have to pull it off, one way or another." She hummed taking a sip of her wine. 

"You're not helping."

"Why are you even panicking? It's not like you're gonna say no. Much less him."

"I just- I don't know. What if he does pull out. Am I even ready to be his husband?" Krolia sighs, puts down her glass and sits up straight. 

"Keith, you and Lance have been living with each other for years and have dated for more than half of that time. He is not going to suddenly change his mind and call everything off. You will be fine." She assures Keith and smiles warmly. Keith also smiles and imagines his life with Lance. Moving into a larger house together with their cats, Blue and Red, and Kosmo. And just maybe. Having kids together. Guess he was ready to tie the knot.

"Though I have to say that he is romantic as fuck. I knew he was going to propose but not like that!" Krolia laughs even more just remembering Keith telling her what he heard.

"Lance likes to be extra." Keith sighs.

By the time Keith came back home it was very late and he was just a little bit tipsy. He entered his shared bedroom with lance to see him snoring with a face mask on and the cats on the bed with him while Kosmo was on the floor. Keith softly smiled at the scene walking over to lance and kisses him. 

He would love to spend the rest of his life with him, through all of the ups and downs.

In the morning Keith had gotten himself together and pretended as though he had heard nothing. Although the slight looks and giggles from his soccer girls made it hard to focus on his act.

After another long day with all the students he stopped by lances room to catch yet another play with Luca. Once Luca left Keith walked closer to Lance who was putting away his violin and pulled him into a very long kiss. "Did something good happen?" Lance laughs and hugs Keith tightly. "You can say that" Keith sighs and hugs back for a while till he pulls back. "I'm gonna go now but I'll see you home at 6." Lance nods and kisses Keith again before letting go and returning to cleaning.

Another 10 minutes were wasted at practice with the number of questions the girls brought up, but Keith quickly dismissed them and started the drills. Afterwards Keith drove home in a hurry to get changed and go on his date with Lance. 

Keith quickly brushed his hair, ran some gel through it and left the bathroom where he found Lance looking at his face in a mirror. "Hey there handsome" Keith complimented and wrapped his hands around Lances waist, hugging him from behind. "You look nice amor." Lance hums turning around to kiss Keith's cheek. 

"So where are we going?" Keith smiled, acting oblivious to his plans. "I was thinking of having sushi tonight" Lance suggests and Keith nods in agreement.

After eating sushi, laughing about their stupid college days with their ridiculous rivalry, and the school's drama, Keith worried if Lance's plans had changed considering they spend a long time in the restaurant.

Did he decide not to propose? Did he change his mind? Was he just not ready in the end?

"Keith?" His attention snapped right back to Lance with a concerned look on his face. "You okay? You spaced out a bit there, Amor." Lance reaches out to grab Keith's hand which was resting on the table and lightly squeezed.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Sorry..." Keith smiled squeezing back. "It's okay, buut I've got a little more planned for tonight. Let's leave?" Lance shyly smiled back. Keith realized that everything was actually going according to his plan. "Sure. Let's just pay the bill first though" Keith laughed assuming that by the look on Lance's face, he forgot they had to pay. How cute.

To make it seem like Keith had no idea where they were headed, he asked Lance a couple questions here and there about what they were going to do next. Though lance always responded with a laugh and "You'll see".

Once they arrived, Keith stepped out and saw a garden maze. He smiled remembering that this was where Keith had asked Lance to be his boyfriend. Where it started. He looked to Lance who was slowly walking to the entrance. "So, are you going to tell me what we're doing here?" Keith laughs. "I just felt like coming back here." Lance shrugged and held his hand out. Keith scoffed and gladly took his hand as they walked into the maze.

On the outside the maze looked dull with only large bushed but on the inside was multiple beautiful flowers and at night it was filled with fireflies. It was one of Keith's favorite sights.

"Hey Keith..." Lance catches Keiths attention upon turning a corner. "Yeah?"

"When's the last time we had a race?" Keith is shocked. This was new. "A while... why?" He laughs. Lance then turns to Keith, pecks him on the lips and smirks once he pulls away. "I bet I can get to the center before you." 

And like that Lance speeds away in a different direction catching Keith off guard. He laughs and sprints behind him, trying to catch up. At some point Keith did get lost. It had been years since they had been here. Though Keith continued through the maze, looking for clues, completely forgetting of the proposal.

And at some point, he heard music. Something familiar. And looking up he saw a bright light close in the distance. He then realized it was a violin. The same tune as the days he stopped by Lance's music room when Luca was there.

Picking up his pace, he laughed and darted towards the light, getting bright and the music getting louder. He was close.

And just as he made a sharp left, he saw it.

A beautiful garden full of roses, orchids, tulips, and flying around were dozens of fireflies. In the middle of that garden was a garden arch, wrapped in lights and smaller roses, and standing right in the middle of it was Lance.

This was it.
