"So that's everything that you need to sign Miss. Rose, I am glad to say that this job is now yours." Valerie's put her long, midnight blue quill back into her handbag as Her new colleague stood up and showed the young witch out of her office. "I will keep in touch with you via owls is that alright?"
"Yes, thank you headmistress, when should I be unpacked in my living quarters?"
"A week before school starts Miss. Rose, and school starts September the 1st, no matter what day of the week it is and I expect you to turn up to every meal when you arrive,"and with that she led the new professor out of the building and down to the edge of the school grounds where she could apperate to her own little house in York.Over the next couple of days both Valeire and Draco were busy with packing up all of their possessions. Draco, being the lazy idiot he had always been at school had used magic and had been done in about two hours, boxes lay scattered around the bare rooms. Flowers the house elf was to be in charge of the house while he was away but instead of it being an easy departure Flowers held onto the young wizard who was about to disapperate to the Hogwarts ground.
"Sir-no- Flowers wants sir to stay."
"Sorry Flowers, look I really need to go, I'm going to be late and that won't go down well with the rest of the faculty." He said, a hint of anger was mixed in with his annoyed tone.
"Look, you've got the whole house to yourself, you can do whatever you please, just can you let me go now?" Flowers' face sunk and she had large tears brimming in her doe like eyes. "Ok, we can owl each other and I shall send you some friends to talk to, I'm sure that Hogwarts could spare a few house elves. Deal?"
He could help but feel sorry for the little creature, he felt the same way when he was in school. All he wanted was attention though he never received any from his parents. Maybe that's why jar acted like such a big headed ass for seven years of his life?
"Ok, sir, but Flowers is still upset about-about master leaving."
"Yes, I know," he went down to pat her hair, "but I have a job now and I really need to go." With one last look at the tearing house elf Draco disapperated to the Hogwarts grounds leaving his manor in the hands of his little house elf.
The sun was shining, there was no cloud in the sky it wasn't raining and he was happy that he could move in with ease as it looked like not many other teachers had arrived to school yet.
Every floor that he walked through brought back more an more memories, like the time both him and Blaise threw dung bombs as people walked below the large sixth floor windows, outside in the grounds.
He walked up to the seventh floor, his bags and boxes floating behind him. Snape sat there in a overly-plush red velvet armchair his large portrait where he had a permanent glare on his face.
Draco stood there trying to rack his brains to remember the password the old professor gave him. "Password, Malfoy?" He sneered, looking at the frustrated blonde in front of him.
"Um, Well-" the pale blonde turned crimson as he stares at his feet and his possessions that lay around his feet. "Oh, come on!" He exclaimed, regaining some of his lost confidence, and he waited for Severus to say some sort of snarky or rude comment, instead he just gazed intently at him. "Look, you know it's me, just let me in!"
"Rules are rules, Draco. Professor or not." His eyes squinted into narrow splits and he turned his head to his left, breaking all eye contact an making the tension grow even further.
Draco had been here for about ten minutes and he decided to give in. "There all done, I will be able to get in soon." He sent a roll of parchment with his elegant, black owl: Dusk.
"What amazing scheme have you come up with now?" Snape looked almost interested, at least that's what it looked like from where Draco stood.
"I sent a letter to Valerie, she can tell me the password, personally I think that it's-"
"Yes, Draco." A smirking Valerie leant against the now open entrance to their shared quarters. "Forgot the password, now, did we?"she loved the feeling of taunting him, just like he did to everyone else. "Aww, poor little Malfoy forgot the password, now, now that just cannot do, can it, professor Snape?"
She smiled up at the delicately painting price of moving art, she smirked back down at her. "I am afraid that I agree with you, Miss. Rose, though do remember that it won't happen twice. Right, well I'm not feeling too good on my side now, so Draco, you may enter," Draco thought he had been let off, "but only this once, next time I will have to get someone to beat some sort of sense into you. I bid you a good day." And with that he swung back to his upright position and Draco and Valerie were in their living quarters.
"Well he's uptight today, isn't he?" She jumped onto one of the deep purple couched in front of the fireplace.
"How long have you been here?"
"About three days, not much fun though," she turned her head to face the blonde who was taking his duty to inspect the lounge. "But I guess you here now so it's only getting worse." Once Draco heard this he picked hurled the cushion he was examining and aimed it at the lounging witch who was hanging over the couch.
"Ouch, what was that for?" But he had already left to go to his room. 'Ugh! He is such a child sometimes.'
