It Will End In Tears

My godfather and I turned around right when the judge said those four words. Two guards brought out a man with long black curly hair, an unshaven face, and dirt all over his blue striped uniform. They had him in shackles and held him from arm to arm.

"Put me down!" The man yelled at the guards.

They finally sat him down in a chair across from the judge.

"State your name" The judge repeated for the third time.

"Sirius Black," The dirty man said.

"Holy shit" I muttered to myself.

My godfather quickly walked back to the seats we were at before and sat back down. Remus was now the one shaking his leg. I didn't react much considering it was a man I don't know. I could tell Remus was stunned just by the look on his face. He hasn't seen Sirius in years. I can't imagine how he feels right now. Sirius began to speak to the judge.

"I've sat here and stated many times before that I could never do this to anyone, let alone my best friends. I know that I don't know my daughters well but I need to get to know them."

"Daughters?" I thought to myself.

"Daughters?" Remus said out loud.

"My oldest, Rowan, and my Youngest Lilith. Rowan is here today with her godfather and my best friend Remus and Lilith is with her mother in America. Remus has told me all about Rowan, she's amazing in school, an academic scholar at the age of sixteen. I don't know much about Lilith but I know that she's at the top of her class at Ilvermorny, just like Rowan. I just want to get out of here so I can get to know them. I've done my waiting. Fourteen years of it."

Before Sirius could say anything I stood up and walked out. My godfather closes behind me.

"Rowan, Rowan wait!" Remus said from behind me

"I don't wanna talk," I told him.

"Just let me tell you-" Remus said before I cut him off.

"No, you could've told me before. I didn't know that you had any contact with him. You told me that you had nothing to do with him because of what he did to me." There was a long silence before I spoke again

"How long have you been in contact with him?" I asked with a shaky voice.

"Since he's been gone," Remus said quietly.

"You've got to be fucking kidding," I said with a laugh.

"Rowan please." Remus pleaded.

"Take me home Remus," I said finally.

We went to the fireplace in the ministry of magic and used floo powder to get home. As soon as I got home I went to my room and isolated myself for the rest of the day. I didn't know what to feel. The only adult I trusted has been lying to me for years. I've just figured out that I have a secret sister. I finally fell asleep thinking about what the hell is going on in my life.
