Everything went so fast that I couldn't even see what's happening and what should I do at that moment. Gunshots started to surround us and Chris was holding my hand, our feet were sore due to the intense walking but we ran as fast as we could until we I think lost them.

My shoulders were shaking as Chris tried to calm me down by holding them and hugging me tightly and surprisingly, it worked. I felt calm but tears still rolled down from my eyes to my cheeks that were trembling in fear. I wrapped my arms on Chris' waist as our breathes slowly went down.

I stared at him and pointed at the cottages. "Kilala mo sila?"

Pero umiling siya. Somehow, I don't believe him. "B-bakit kaya—"

"Shh. I'll talk to the authorities about this. Don't worry, you're safe and your family are safe too. Mukhang ditong banta lang ang may nangyari." He said but unsure on his voice but I nodded and sat down on the sand.

I have a lot of stuff running on my mind. Those guns, they seem like they were not really aye-ing on us. Because if they are, why didn't they run and find us. The cottages are still near from where we are now. Why didn't they try to find us? For me? Find him?

"Do something about it, Dad." I heard him talk to the phone, not really far from me. Curiously, I turned my head to him and our eyes made contact. He smiled sadly and I smiled back and turned my head.

Few minutes later, Chris squatted in front of me and extended his hand while smiling softly. "Let's go back. I already talked to Dad and the authorities. You're safe. C'mon."

"Are you sure?" I was hesitant to ask him that question that maybe it will trigger him and that would lead to us fighting again but is it bad to ask for my safety?

He sighed and nodded. "I will fetch a bullet for you if you wanna."

That turned me pink as a rose and grabbed him hand. "Ang dami mo pang sinasabi. Let's just go, shall we?"

Ngumisi siya pero hindi ko na lang pinansan hanggang sa nasa harap nanaman ako ng pamilya ko. Mom ran towards me and gave me a huge hug. I started to wonder if Chris called her and told her what happened. I gave him a huge look but he slowly shook his head. I narrowed mine until mom spoke. "I was starting to worry. Ang tagal niyo naman! What did you two did?" I didn't know how to act. Happy or disgust at my mom.

So akala niya may ginawa kami ni Chris dahil matagal kami and she didn't think that I was in grave danger? That I don't know, bullets were chasing us?
