Harry hummed to himself as he filled his basket with apples and any other fruits he could find. A bird landed on his head, and he chuckled as he felt it nuzzle into his hair. "Hello little friend." The bird chirped as it stayed there as Harry continued collected.

"Alright, that should be enough." Harry muttered to himself as he lifted the heavy basket. Then his ears twitched and a sharp pain in his shoulder knocked him down. The bird flew around him making loud noises as his vision faded in and out and he heard the clanking of armor.

Harry groaned as he woke up. He looked around and noticed that it was dark and damp. He tried to get up but noticed the chains on his wrists. He gasped as he sat up but the pain in his shoulder made him hear a wringing sound.

"Hey," there was a loud bang of metal against metal, "don't move too much, you'll bleed again." Harry looked at his wrapped-up shoulder. "What happened?" Harry coughed not realizing how dry his throat was.

"I'm sure you can piece it together, here." The man kicked a bowl through the bars, letting the majority of the water spill out. Harry drank what was left and sighed as he felt a little better. He looked at the man and thought.

All he remembered was picking fruit for his mother, then pain, then nothing. Harry's ears flopped down, and he slowly realized what was happening. He scooted back and curled up into a little ball.

Sadly, there wasn't much he could do, he was taken, shot on sight, all to be sold to some greedy human. "Hey, elf, lets go." Another man opened the door and came close. Harry scrambled away, not sure what he wanted. "Stop squirming, come on." Harry yelped as he was grabbed by the back of his shirt and dragged away.

The pain in his shoulder got worse and it felt hot. "Hey, you idiot." The man from before came over and yanked Harry away. "Look, his wound opened back up, now I have to fix it." The other man snarled as Harry was taken back, but he noticed that his man was gentler with him. "Come on, we don't have all day."

"No one's going to buy him if he's bleeding to death." Harry gasped as the man roughly pulled his shirt down to expose the wound. He blushed and pushed him away. "Hey, stop moving, damn elf." Harry's hands were quickly chained to the floor, and he couldn't move. The man unwrapped the wound and Harry noticed how bad it was.

Harry screamed as the man cleaned in and wrapped it up again. "There, now take him with better care." The other man rolled his eyes and pulled Harry by the chains this time. They walked for a little until they got to a door.

The man pushed it open, and the sun burned Harry's eyes. He shut them close and slowly blinked so he could see. It was a market, but not like the one back home. This one was noisy and crowded and unpleasant.

Harry stared at all the humans screaming and running around, wondering why they had to be so noisy. "Come on." The man pulled Harry up onto a platform with other Elf's and chained him to the floor. Harry looked and felt something in his stomach turn. There were both girls and boys and they looked tired and hungry.

A sign was placed in front of Harry, and he quickly read it. 'Elf for sale. $2,000' Harry wondered what that number meant, because back home they just traded goods for goods. "Human's call it money." Harry looked at the boy who was next to him. He had dark circles under his eyes and he blank excretion.

"Money?"

"Yeah, it's what they use to buy things. It's gold in color and cold to the touch. I don't really understand it either." He shrugged as he looked ahead. "So, is there a way to get out of here?" The elf glanced at Harry. "Not with that injury. It'll slow you down." Harry looked at his shoulder and sighed.
