SHE heard sounds of crying making her wake up instantly.

"No! No! No!" Sirena heard the screaming.

Sirena was now alerted and instantly got up running down the stairs towards the screaming.

She ran towards the kitchen seeing her mom stressed and confused while Alonso was standing crying and screaming.

"What's going on?" Sirena said going up to Alonso.

"I don't know! I told him to get ready for school and he refused," Amelia said.

Sirena looked at Alonso who was crying.

"What's wrong?" Sirena asked.

"I-I don't want to go to school!" Alonso said.

"Why not? Did something happen?" Sirena asked.

Alonso shook his head and cried.

Sirena didn't know what to do. She looked towards the table seeing Alonso's plate full of food.

"How about we eat breakfast together, and I will take you to school?" Sirena suggested.

Alonso's cry died down a little and nodded.

Amelia watched their interaction.

"You can get ready for work. I'll take him to school," Sirena told her mother, walking her brother to his chair.

Amelia wanted to protest but nodded since she did have an early shift.

Sirena looked at her mother walking away.

"Do you want this breakfast or do you want me to make you something?" Sirena asked.

Alonso shrugged picking on his breakfast that was now cold.

"Let me make some heart-shaped pancakes with some fruits and you can have your chocolate milk," Sirena said.

She saw Alonso's face lit up and nodded with excitement.

Sirena smiled and got all the ingredients for her pancakes as well as the fruits.
