We'll be alright

1. First day

"Diego! Wake up!" I could hear my mum scream

"MaaAaa," I groaned loudly

"Wake up! You gonna be late for your first day!" She screamed again

First day? Oh shoot, it's the first day of school! I rushed out of bed and into the bathroom. I quickly had a shower and got dressed. The first day is nice cause I get to see my friends that I don't usually bring home and go back to my fun life of mischief, hehe jokes. But the best part is that it's my final year in school.

Grade 12, baby

Once I was done with everything, I ran downstairs and into the kitchen. There was a plate of food waiting there for me. It was toast with Jam and some juice

"Morning mum," I greeted with a hug

"Morning, sweetheart." Mum greeted back, her cheerful smile on her face

"Morning Didi." My sister, Mira, greeted

"Wassup mimi"

"Diego, finish your food. we need to leave now." Mum said

I quickly finished up eating and got my bag. Mira got hers, and we were ready to leave, Mira and I were very close. She's my only and younger sister. I just turned 18, and Mira is 16, so there's not much of an age gap between us. My birthday was in January, and Mira's is in March

We all got into the car and left for school. It was a 20-minute drive from my house to the school, so I don't know why we rushed. Mira and I got out of the car and went our own ways

Nice to be at school, I'm gonna miss it when I leave

"Wassup bro mans." There's that familiar voice I was waiting for.

Bro, man? I swear this guy's wording is just messed up

"Yo Shay! Wassup man." I went in for our hand shake

"Did you check. There's new students at this school, Imma see if I can shoot my shot on one, " he said in an excited tone

"Nah, man, it's our final year. Don't you want to take it down a bit. Like, just chill. "

I didn't want my final year to be all messed up and stuff. What if I need to get a job and they see how I was back in school. Plus, I need to make sure I pass this year with really high marks

"Nah, man.  You can do that, I'm gonna enjoy this year, "

"Alright, cool, I'm going to class now,"

"Sure, dude," he said before running off

Shay is my best friend, we have been friends since we were 4. I hope our friendship will continue. He knows everything about me, and I know everything about him. The only thing is if he gets a girlfriend, the relationship won't last long, I don't know what he does, but they end up breaking up. I got to my class and saw Ms Parker sitting on her desk looking down at her phone

Ms. Parker is one of the best teachers I've ever met in my life. She's sweet, smart, and beautiful. But the best thing about her is that she gets me out of unnecessary trouble. Shay gets me into. Shay isn't really a troublemaker, but he does do some questionable things half of the time. I don't know what I would have done if I had never had a teacher like her. And she's young, she's like 3 years older than me, last year she worked here part-time but now she's a full-time teacher. She has a hour glass body and long brown hair, but she kinda short. She's just by my shoulders

"Good morning, Miss Parker~," I said in a smooth tone

"Morning Diego, how have you been?" She asked, putting her phone down on the desk
