12. Is this the place

{LUCA'S POV}

It's been some time, and I'm almost done checking all the houses, Diego left a few days ago. I don't know if he made it to the lake as yet. I finished up one more house before taking a quick break

I'm exhausted. When I find Isabella, I'm keeping this child safe with my life, I'll never leave her alone until she gets married. Even then, I'll still take care of her

I took my phone out and checked it. The signal here is not so good, I wanted to contact my parents but I couldn't. I'm sure they are still angry with me. They didn't even want to talk to me when they found out Isabella went missing

I'm not finding her for them, I'm finding her cause she's MG sister and I love her. I went through the pictures we had together.

I'll find out soon. Hehe, she's that important that in missing out on good sleep

I smiled to myself and thought about calling Diego. But he said emergencies only, I went to an empty room and had a quick how while my clothes aired out. My hair was so long, and I started to look like that crazy guy's hair

I washed my hair and then left it open until it dried, then I tied it into a small ponytail. I put my shirt on and my hoddie, my hoddie was a bit messed but it's fine

I left the room and continued checking the houses

{DIEGO'S POV}

I walked for a couple of days until I was closer to the lake. This was the most walking I've ever done in my life. I got to the lake, the sun was shining on it, it was getting late by the sun setting slowly

I walked around and saw 2 cabins and one small house further back. I needed to check fast before it got too late. I went to the first cabin and knocked on the door

An old lady answered it, she had a sweet smile on her face when she saw me. I shouldn't be deceived by that, though

"How may I help you, young man?" She asked

"Hello, mam, I'm looking so a young girl,"

I took my phone out and showed her a picture of Mira. She looked at it and then shook her head

"Sorry boy, I haven't seen that girl," she said

"Okay, thank you, mam," I said

"Would you like to come in and have a shower? You seem like you traveled for a while," she asked

I was a bit hesitant, very hesitant. Should I, I really needed to bathe, but I shouldn't just go into her house

"Don't worry, I'm not a crazy old woman who invites young boys in to kill them," she said

"Really?" I asked

"Yup, I'm just offering if you want to bathe. If you don't want to, then good luck on the rest of your journey. "

"I'll bathe," I said

She left me into her house and closed the door. It looked comfy and warm. She had her Nutting bag next to a comfy couch. She directed me to the shower, and I thanked her for it

I had a shower and washed my hair while I was there. Once i was done, i put my clothes back on and let my hair dry. It has gotten so long that i was now able to tie it up into a bun

I got out of the bathroom and grabbed my bag with me. I said thank you to the old lady, but before I left, she gave me a warning

"If you're gonna go to the next house to check for that girl, don't go inside," she said
