As the rain pours
As the wind blows
And as time passes by.
Let us mourn
For my broken heart
For the trauma he has caused
And the scars he has imprinted.
Let us cry
Just let one tear fall
Just one, lone drop
And it'll all go away.
Just let me be sad
Let me cry to my heart's content
And after all those
I'll finally forget, maybe.
But alas, my dear friend
I'm not easily led to freedom
Not really aware of the toxicity he's brought
Nor the fake love he's shown
No, I'm not making excuses
Yes, I have responsibilities
I might have a chance to like you
But you'd never understand.
I'm more than what you think I am
I'm not nice nor good nor perfect
But I'm real as you could perceive
And true as you would believe.
- I could've liked you. But the amount of doubt you've placed on me is more than I could carry.
