Chapter 16: Her Spirit

Niklaus growls at Stefan ready to rip him when they all heard a soft gasp.

"Faith?" Stefan asks as Niklaus stops growling and looks at Faith hearing the faint sound of her heartbeat. He whimpers and slowly moved closer to her only receiving a glare from Stefan. Before Stefan could attack Niklaus, Elijah broke his neck and took Faith into his arms.

"Let's go brother." Elijah tells Niklaus before they both left.

-Time Skips-

Faith felt cold again yet warmth still slightly radiated around her like a blanket. She felt a cold hand on her own thinking it's either one of her brothers.

"Stef...Damon." She calls out weakly as she grips onto the hand as tightly as she could.

"It's okay. Just rest." It sounded like Katherine.

"Kat." She calls out again as she felt Katherine's cold hand on her cheek stroking it.

"I'm here." Katherine tells her as Faith fell unconscious again. Katherine looks towards the kitchen watching the Mikaelson brothers movements.

"What do we do with Faith?" Elijah ask Niklaus.

"We keep her. She is rightfully ours."
"We are not gonna do that against her will."
"Her brothers left her to die."
"Cause you killed her."
"I did not. Can you not hear her heartbeat."
"It's faint and she could be dying any moment!" Elijah growls angrily at his brother.

"You do know that Faith is immortal, right?" Katherine stares as the brothers looks at her immediately.

"There will never be a chance that a vampire, human, werewolf, witch, or any supernatural beings that live in this earth can kill her." Katherine tells them with an obvious tone.

"How do you know such information?" Elijah ask, of course he knows she's immortal, the panic only made him forget that she is.

"I've been friends with Faith for a very long time and she's the only person that I trust most with my life and the only person that I would kill for. I know everything because she told me everything."
"Which means you know her weakness as well." Niklaus says and Katherine shrugs.

"Maybe." She says and immediately Niklaus chokes her.

"Tell me."
"Niklaus that's enough, why do you need such information."
"So we could be prepared brother. What if our enemies use her weakness against her."
"Then it is better to know not of her weakness." Elijah tells him as Niklaus lets Katherine go and looks at Faith. Blood still covering the side of her neck and he looks away.

"Clean her up." He mutters and leaves.

"Watch them." Niklaus says and opens the door to be greeted by Stefan.

"Klaus."
"Ahh, Stefan. What a pleasant surprise." Niklaus then grabs him and throws Stefan across the kitchen. Niklaus then pins him against the wall.

"Now tell what you're doing here."
"To look for my sister and help my brother."
"Oh really? What makes you think your sister can help your brother."
"You bit him and his dying. My sister can cure anything even a werewolf's bite. She did it many times." Stefan tells him and Elijah looks to where Faith once lay. Katherine did so too, that alone she didn't know Faith could do, but then again, Faith can always do the impossible even if its to her limits.

"Well, sorry to break to you, but your sister is resting. She will never and I mean ever help your disgusting brother again. He can rot away with that nasty bite I gave him after all."
"Please I'll do anything. Just let my sister heal him and for you to leave her alone." Stefan begs, his not one to beg but his family is in the line.

"I'll accept the deal, but your sister stays with me and my brother. Protected by the two of us. Now." He lets go of Stefan and opens a fridge full of human blood before tossing it to Stefan who caught it.

"You'll drink that blood and I'll give your brother the cure for the bite." Klaus bites his arm and grabs a bottle before letting his blood pour inside it then he looks at Stefan who stood there staring at him with horror.

"Now, drink or say goodbye to your brother's cure."
"Niklaus."
"Hush, Elijah. Be glad that I did not put you to sleep." Klaus glares at him before looking at Stefan.

"Tick tock." He tells him as he tilts the vial towards the sink. A drop was about to pour out the small vial but Stefan drank the blood from the bag immediately. Katherine looks away not wanting to see the torture Stefan is bound to be in.

Stefan drains the bag and drops the empty content to the floor as he breathes heavily.

"Good. Katherine, come here." Niklaus says and Katherine walks up to him as Niklaus closes the vial.

"You are free now. You may give this to Damon Salvatore or keep it. Your choice." He says as he tosses the vial which Katherine caught. He looks at the three men before leaving the apartment.

"Now, let's turn you back to your rippah days shall we?"

Elijah moves a piece of Faith's hair away from her face as he could hear the pained grunts coming from Stefan.

"Don't be such a baby. Keep drinking." He hears his brother order him as Elijah shook his head. He was about to stand up when he felt a shift from the bed causing for him to look and see Faith sitting up.

She opens her eyes as she looks around in confusion.

"What?" Her voice raspy from the lack of water. Elijah handed her a glass of water which she took and drank.

"Thanks Ste-Elijah? What?" She was confused to see him until she hears coughing from the other room causing for her to run out. Elijah didn't stop her as he stayed sitting.

"Stefan!" Faith run to her brother's aid before gasping to see piles of blood bags around him. His face contorted in pain as he hasn't drank any human blood for a long time.

"Stef."
"I wouldn't do that love." Niklaus tells her causing for her to turn and see him.

"Niklaus, what did you do?"
"Turning your brother into what he was once before. A murdering psychopath."
"Wh-Why?"
"He made a deal with me, he said that he'll do what I ask in exchange of your brother's life?"
"Let me guess he also asked for you to leave alone which you didn't take?" Faith glares at him with anger as Niklaus smirks.

"You are wise, my dear."
"You are hurting him. You know how long it took for him to despise drinking human blood?"
"And I am making sure that he doesn't anymore." Niklaus tells her as he was about to touch her face when flashes of last night's event hit him.

He clenches his fist and closes his eyes before backing away from her which confuses Faith.

"Why don't you go back in the room and rest. Elijah." He calls and Elijah came and gently guided her back to the room.

"It'll be okay." Elijah assures her knowing fully that she's hurting inside. This reminds her of Faye whenever she protects Niklaus or anyone from their family from their father.

"I'm scared." Faith looks at him, tears streaming in her eyes as he smiles with sadness before kissing her forehead and held her in his arms. Faith froze, shocked to feel such comfort yet it feels too familiar to her. She closes her eyes and held onto Elijah tightly.
