Rose and her mother Ruth arrived at Spinners End where Rose would now be staying with her father, Severus Snape, since Ruth had found a wealthy husband to marry and thought she should just drop her daughter off.
Ruth kissed her daughter on the cheek. "I'll miss you. And of course, I'll still send you gifts from my trips or when I go out. Goodbye dear." She said. Ruth apparated away and sent one of the house-elves to stay with Rose and Severus since she assumed that they would need one.
The small house-elf called Teeny carried Rose's things inside, and Rose followed the elf inside her father's home. "Hello?" She called out.
Rose's American accent easily stood out from her father's, mainly because she had stayed with her mother for most of her life, and every summer heading to Severus' home.
Severus came out of his study and greeted his daughter at the door. "Teeny please close the door." Rose said. The elf nodded and did as she was told.
"May I ask why we would need a house elf?" Severus asked after Rose had gotten settled in for a bit.
"Mother said we'd need her, on the way here she said she would send another house elf an hour or two later."
"I see no need for two elves. How about we give one of them away?"
Rose was taken aback but nonetheless was curious. "To who?"
Severus was about to answer before a small pop came from inside the house and another house elf appeared.
"The Malfoy's, they lost their house elf to due to a, er-, small incident three years ago." Severus continued.
"Fine, but if we're going to give them a house-elf we're going to do it now because I don't feel like waiting."

The two apparated outside of Malfoy Manor with the other house-elf named Goldey and walked up to the front door. Severus knocked on the door and it was opened by a man with long, platinum blonde hair, grey eyes, and a walking stick.
"Severus, come in." He said.
Rose, Severus, and Goldey stepped inside the Manor and the door closed. "Well, Lucius, I decided to gift you, Narcissa, and Draco a house elf since you lost Dobby."
"That's convenient since Narcissa and I-" Lucius paused and looked at Rose.
"And who might this be?" He asked. None of the Malfoy's had known about Rose or Ruth, simply because Severus didn't tell them, he only told Dumbledore who he thought should know.
"This is my daughter, Rose."
"It's nice to meet you." Lucius said.
"It's nice to meet you too sir."
Narcissa had walked out into the room they were all in and exchanged a look with her husband. "Cissy, will you follow me into the dining room for a moment?"
Lucius and Narcissa walked into their large and lavish dining room and began to speak. "Who is that?" She asked.
"I was just about to tell you- that's Severus' daughter."
"What?" Narcissa shrieked.
"Keep it down!"
"Well, this is a bit of a shock."
"I never thought it was." Lucius said sarcastically.
