The next morning, Katelyn woke up feeling extremely warm, and not in a good way. Her head hurt, she felt like she had a fever, and her stomach was churning like she had never felt before. She slowly turned over to see Caesar still asleep next to her. She started to shake him, but with every movement of her arm, she felt weaker. "Caesar, wake up, please! I don't feel good," she whined at him as he slowly woke up next to her. He sat upright upon noticing the state she was in. "What's wrong? You said you don't feel good?" "I don't. I feel weak, my head hurts, I feel warm, and I feel like I'm going to throw up." He held a hand to her forehead and said, "Oh no. I think you caught the pyrexia." "How did I catch it," Katelyn asked. Caesar quickly got up and started to pull on his clothes. "I don't know, but we don't need it to get any worse. Let me draw up a cold bath." He quickly went into the bathroom and turned on the water, filling the tub with cold water. After letting the water start to run, he went back out to the bedroom and lifted Katelyn from the bed, glad she was not in any clothes from the night before. "Come on, wrap your arms around me. I need to get you in a cold bath right away." He walked back into the bathroom with Katelyn in his arms and set her down on the side of the tub so that she could slide in. "I'm going to get one of the maids to help you today, but for now I need to keep your fever down. I also need to get the others because we need to kill the Netherwyrm. I can't lose you." "You won't," Katelyn replied, "You need to help the people in this city, including me. I'll be here when you get back. After I'm done soaking, I'm going to see if I can find a fever medicine of some sort. We have medicines in my world to cure fevers, they must have something in yours too." Caesar said, "Alright, I'll get one of the maids to help you dress. I love you." He placed a kiss on her warm forehead and turned, looking back at her once more as he left the room.

With worry plaguing his mind, Caesar rushed out to the kitchen area to find the others gathered around the kitchen. "Good morning. Where's Katelyn," Yulie asked Caesar, noticing his frazzled state. "She's sick. She caught the pyrexia. I need to go get one of the maids to help her today and then we need to head out. The Netherwyrm must be stopped." "You're right," Eldore said, "Go get one of the maids and then we will make haste." Caesar dashed back out of the room and found one of the maids, Rosa, who was an older lady who had been around for almost his whole life. When he told her about Katelyn, she said, "Of course my lord, I will look after the lady Katelyn while you are gone." "Thank you, Rosa," he said, "You have no idea how much this means to me." With that, the old woman dashed towards his room where Katelyn awaited. By the time that the maid found her, Katelyn had already managed to get out of the tub after washing her hair and was working on brushing the knots out of it. A small knock on the door made her jump before a kind voice said, "My lady, can I come in? I was sent to help you dress." Katelyn replied with a quick, "Come in." The door opened to reveal to Katelyn an older lady who looked like a grandmother figure of sorts. Rosa said, "I'm sorry I took so long. Lord Caesar filled me in on your condition. He asked me to stay by your side today to make sure you don't get any sicker." "It's okay. I know that the group will be leaving in a few minutes, but I was thinking about doing some research while Caesar is gone. Is there any way you can help me with my hair and choosing an outfit to wear? My body is just feeling very weak." "Of course, my lady. Let me go grab you an outfit and I will be right back." The maid rushed across the hall to where the past lady of the house's dresses were and chose one for the young woman, along with a corset and undergarments. She then went to Caesar's mother's jewelry box that still sat on her old dresser and pulled out a few pieces she thought would complement the outfit. Finally, she grabbed a few hair clips before heading back over to the young lord's room. She knocked before reentering the room and said, "I have brought an outfit I think you will like. I also chose a few jewelry pieces and hair clips. Would you like to get dressed first, or start with your hair?" Katelyn thought for a moment before saying, "Let me get dressed first. I don't like sitting in a robe very much."
