After exactly two weeks of having the cat, March 24th, it all seems close to normal, as if I had never lived without a cat. She had mostly stayed in my room, venturing out only a few times if I were to spend time with Anemachi or Suisei outside my bedroom.

Waking up with human arms wrapped around my torso only leads me to believe Suisei had a nightmare and came into my room, or I sleepwalked into her room.... the former seems more likely.

But opening my eyes to find a mess of pinkish and purple hair rather than Suisei's bright blue or even Anemachi's pink hair is what surprises me.

Upon almost jumping out of bed, I notice fluffy cat ears with the same markings as Neko-chan's atop this strange being's head, and my cat is nowhere to be found.

But of course, it's way too early to think about this. What if I'm just dreaming?

So I wrap my arms back around the cat-human, going back to sleep until a more reasonable time to think about this.

But alas, when I open my eyes again, the same pink and purple hair greets me. Looking down causes me to realize she's wearing one of my hoodies. And the cat ears are still there.

I reach up to touch one, and her eyes immediately shoot open, the ear twitching slightly. I notice that she has heterochromia, just like Neko-chan, with one red and one purple eye.

The cat-person almost jumps, before realizing it's me. She quickly regains her content facial expression and nuzzles back into my warmth. My jaw drops, leaving my mouth open as I process the situation.

"Neko-chan?"

She hums in response, similar to how my cat would quietly meow if I messed with her while she was sleeping. After a few seconds she lifts her head slightly, opening her eyes again.

"Neko-chan.. what's going on?"

Her face flushes red as she finally realizes what happened. She had gone... from a cat.. to a human?

Eh, anything is possible when it's related to Hololive.

She sits up, rubbing her eyes with the smallest, cutest hands.

"Mikeneko."

But her voice is one all too familiar. My eyes widen again after finally regaining their normal amount of wideness.

"Are you-"

She sighs. "Yes."

"But I thought you-"

Mikeneko shakes her head, her tangled hair swaying a bit before resting on her back. "No. I'm still here."

Her voice, it's real. She's here, she's real. Tears start forming in my eyes before running down my face.

"D-don't cry, I'll cry too," but it's already too late and tears are falling onto my blankets. Quickly, I sit up and wrap my arms around Mikeneko in a hug.

She tenses up for a split second before melting into the hug and wrapping her arms around me.

I'm not sure how long we stayed like that, but both of us immediately pull away once we hear my door creak open.

It's Suisei, dragging a half asleep looking Miko.

"Rii-chan, I-" Suisei finally notices Mikeneko, dropping Miko's hand and causing her to fall to the ground. "Rii-chan, explain this."

I turn to Mikeneko with a sheepish smile. "Do you want to introduce yourself?"

She turns towards the doorway, scratching the side of her head. "Y-yeah, I'm Mikeneko, you might know me as-"
