I stood in the window replaying the events of yesterday's party. Everything got out of control, she could've killed someone, including me. I started hearing some mumbles but I was drowning in my thoughts until they were interrupted.
Gage, get your ass down here so we can discuss this shit, I know you can hear me.
Aidan invaded my thoughts, he knows I always hated that. I glanced back at Ember lying in my grey silk, sheeted bed, she was still asleep. How will she react when she wakes up I really don't know but I wasn't looking forward to it. But from what I could see is that this wasn't something I could let slide any longer and pushed my feelings aside. I needed to kill her, she was too much of a threat to me. I slowly walked near the bed and grabbed a pillow and hovered above her beautiful sleeping face. No this wasn't the time to hesitate, I move the pillow down slowly just when the door swung open. Of course, he had to ruin everything, Aidan hurries to me and smacks the pillow from me and whispers angrily, "What the hell are you doing, we agreed we wouldn't kill her!" I glare at him and walk out of the room ignoring him, "you agreed, not me." I say as we sit outside the room.
"We aren't killing anyone, she is innocent." He said, frustrated. "You call her innocent? She can explode every cell in our fucking bodies before we even get a chance to blink, she is too dangerous she has to die," I argue. Aidan shakes with anger, "if you harm a hair on her head I will put you down, this is not the way we do things and she doesn't deserve to die. She barely found out about the powers and she is confused right now; and in case you haven't noticed she had every right to explode his cells after he forced himself on her so no we are not doing that!" Aidan bringing that up at this point was just unnecessary, I only shook with more anger after he reminded me what he did. Maybe I wanted her dead, but more then her being dead I wanted Andrew to pay for what he almost did to her. I felt my eyes glow once again and Aidan watched in shock as he saw my eyes. "See maybe you do have a heart," he says. To which I completely avoid and walk downstairs.
"So, now that you two hot heads settled your bitch talk, can we talk about the sleeping girl upstairs or I don't know maybe even the fact that your reading my damn thoughts!" Tie glances at me. To which, Aidan now is looking at me with a raised eyebrow. "I don't know how it happened and it just happened," I spoke. We all seem confused and unsure of what to think as Aidan speaks, "but if one of your powers are back then why isn't your eyes back to their original color?" Tie also questions, "wait did you hear what I was thinking last night?" Of course he wants to know the most irrelevant things as his eyes grow wide and I just start laughing. "Didn't get to finish, huh? " I tease and tie glares. "Shut the fuck up at least I wasn't the one receiving head down stairs behind the house." My smile faded, fuck he saw that? How many people saw that? Did she see that?
"Enough with the hormone talk, we need to figure out what to do, she's gonna be confused and frightened when she wakes," Aidan interrupts.
SHATTER!
"Quote the obvious why don't you?" I say and we all three run upstairs. The window glass was broken and she was climbing down the roof on a vine. "She's running I'll get her," I exclaimed. "No I'll get her she trusts me more," Aidan interrupts. He then kicks the rest of the glass out and climbs out the window and jumps down from the roof, really did he have to break it more? But I wasn't about to let her go though so I ran after them. Tie slowly follows after, and I carefully climb down because I was not at full power still, it was pitiful. She runs across the road to which she is stopped by Aidan who's careful trying to calm her down. "Ember just listen, you don't have to be afraid, we're trying to help." He says with ease, and she looks flustered. "That's not what I heard outside the door," she glanced at me then looks away again. "What is happening to me , how did I do that last night, what are you guys wanting from me?" She started blabbering questions after question. "We will explain everything just come back to the house please so we can tell you." Aidan asks politely.
Yet I am aggravated and annoyed with her blabbering. "Just go back inside the damn house, what are you gonna do alone? You don't know what forces your dealing with," I say. She glanced toward me, "this is what you were talking about wasn't it, how long have you known?" she demands. Watching us with her turquoise green eyes now gleaming a white color. She was powering up , I prepared for the worse. Aidan spoke again, " Ember just take a moment to think, your emotions they'll set it off," Aidan says gently. "How long!" She demanded. I took a step towards her. "Gage don't, give her a minute!" Aidan yells. "We need to kill her, she's a threat to us!" He yells. Aidan tries to reason with Gage, "she's innocent, she doesn't understand! We aren't touching her , we won't hurt you Ember." He says carefully. Tie interrupts, "guys I think we should leave her alone." They both turn to him confused, "what are you saying we can't let her go!" Gage intercepts. "No, that not what I-" Tie is interrupted as we all see a glowing light behind us. A white shockwave shoots through me and I'm thrown back harshly as my whole body surges with harsh painful pulses. The guys and I scream hunched over on the ground. I look up in a blur to see Ember staring at us pulsing with a white light, she seems shocked but strong.
That light reminded me of her, dangerous but warm. It gave me a feeling of warmth but soon I brushed it off as agonizing pain shot through me. Aidan stutters, "please Ember, trust me you don't want to hurt us." The pain kept increasing and it feels like my insides were ripping. "You think you can hold us down, I'll kill you!" I say losing my temper as my pain increases even more. "For once in your life shut the fuck up , Gage." Tie yells in pain. Aidan stops screaming, she must've took his pain away. "I will only talk to him, if either of you move, I will hurt you," she threatens. The pain suddenly starts to dull away and I can finally breath not realizing my breath had been knocked from me. I don't like this, I don't like it one fucking bit. But I didn't move and that angered me, I realized I feared this girl had more power then me and it made me feel powerless. I'd be damned if I let her live much longer, nobody can bypass me. She still pulses sending small shockwaves out that pulse through us each, a small pain. She was losing control, and I could tell. Aidan interrupts, "just make it stop Ember, you can't let your emotions consume you or you'll have no control." She seems to be struggling because small stinging pains are still going through my body, or maybe she was doing it only to me. "I can't stop, he said he'd kill me," she stares at me with such intensity, I could melt.
"Okay I understand but I won't let him hurt you, just try to imagine a bubble of power and you let the air out and slowly it gets smaller and smaller." Aidan says, gently. She closes her eyes seeming to focus as Tie watches and finally stands, not moving from his position to scare her more. My pain however seems to remain and I can't get up just yet, she must've been doing it on purpose. "Ember so help me if you don't stop, I will hurt you, just wait til I can, and don't think they can stop me," I suddenly get frustrated. Tie walks over and nudges me with his boots, fucking asshole. I groan in pain as he connects it with my side. "It's okay, I promise I won't let him harm you, just take my hand," Aidan reaches out. She softly opens her eyes staring at me intensively and then softly takes his hand and the power ceases, I can finally stand. "If you threaten me again, I don't care if I lose control, I won't let you hurt me." She says to me softly as the light faded back to her unique eye color then walks away with Aidan. Part of that threat seemed to set me off, it was actually really hot but I shoved it aside once again. I can't. Oh she'll do as I say, you just wait , I can't let this dangerous girl live forever.
