I looked in the mirror, looking into my dull white eyes with a clenched jaw. Maybe it's a good thing my powers were gone or I would've loss control. I thought I glimpsed a glimmer of sky blue in my eyes at my temper but it soon disappeared. I blinked again to see if it would return but they remained grayish-white. Did he see that, is that why he faltered during the argument?
I punched the glass hard just as Aidan barged in. "Hey man, what the hell happened!" He glanced at the broken mirror. I clenched the counter and felt the rage boiling in me, I felt a spike in me. "My step dad happened, he is giving me trouble again." Aiden glanced at the broken mirror again," dude but what are you thinking, you can't heal." I splashed water on my face to calm down and try to relax. "I know, it was another pointless lecture on the women as if he's any different." His eyes grew wide as he looked in the mirror, "dude your fucking eyes!" We saw them turn blue and fade once again. "What the hell are you trying to do? Control that your gonna expose us!" Aidan said. "I can't, it's my emotions."
Aidan walked closer,"look, man, he's a shitty dad and he deserves an ass-kicking but you have your mistakes as does he, it doesn't mean you're a bad son." I gritted my teeth. "Mistakes , his wasn't a mistake," I said. "What he did was just his selfish desires, I'm starting to wonder if I'm any different." It grew quiet for a minute before he saw my eyes spark again and I couldn't believe I spoke that aloud. " You need to get that under control, we need to be cautious. I closed my eyes relaxing and they faded again. Then I turned and punched his shoulder to change the subject. "Aidan your sounding cheesy, clamp it." I chuckled at him and he just broke into a laugh. "Trust me, I didn't like it one bit but I had to help you control those eyes." I stopped and grew a serious look, questioning.
He raised an eyebrow. I gave him a mischievous smirk. " You wouldn't happen to be gay?" I joked. He laughed humorously," your not serious?" I didn't falter. "Get out with that bullshit." I laughed at more at his automatic denial. I washed the blood off my fist and gained my composure before heading to biochem.
I sat at my usual marble table only to realize Tie's seat was vacant. He must've ditched the rest of the day. Figures as much. I glanced around the classroom as I looked to see if Tie was anywhere to be seen. He's usually be flirting with a girl leaning over their table if he was around. The floor was a black marbled floor while the desk were a bit lighter then the exterior of the floor. The ceiling was a plain white concrete roof, the stools had a shimmer of silver from the legs as the rest of the chair was black. One thing I liked about this college was they had a really good back for picking a great building structure design. I leaned toward him,"Aidan have you seen him?" He scanned the room and saw no Tie. "Knowing him, he probably skipped and went to get laid." I nod in agreement. "I swear that guy has a brain of a zombie," I said. The bell finally rang, a review for a test took discussion. I jotted down a lot of notes as a distraction that was all consuming me because of my step dad. I hoped my real dad Axel, would be better company. I also decided he better have a good explanation for leaving us with that piece of shit.
***About 20 minutes of biochem, a squeak came from the door. Some of the class turned their attention from the board to find a pale, mesmerizing woman with long blonde hair stumbled in. She was dressed in a silk silver shirt that led to a low dip to the top of her breasts. While she had on black jeans and some black a white converse. A simple causal but elegant look. But I wouldn't say it was actual blonde hair it was almost a white color, it was breathtaking, but her eyes is what caught most of the rooms attention. She asked the professor if this was biochem, the class laughed. As if she couldn't read the sign outside the door. She has annoyed me already, yet I can see how confident she is and I force my attention to my paper. With such confidence, it's laughable how clumsy she is.
