I paced back and forth annoyed at how long this was taking. Why did he have to talk to her and there was no doubt it was about me which irritated me even more. "Will you stop pacing in circles, your giving me vertigo." Tie finally snapped. I looked at him and ignored his input and paced again getting impatient. " how long does he need to talk shit about me?" I said annoyed. Tie sighed and froze my feet to the floor freezing me in place. "Is this really necessary, I'm gonna kill you," I raised my voice. Tie laughed at Gage stuck in place, "if I hated you enough I could talk decades of shit about you." I focused my hand slowly, it was worth a try. I slowly manifested a tiny flame in my palm that quickly was snuffed out. Next thing I heard was Tie laughing even harder. "What kinda pathetic flame is that?" I shot him a furious stare.
I slowly begin to focus again and my mom's voice came to my head, "your powers will return when you need it the most." Was it that I didn't need it yet or that I was just powerless forever? I slowly tried to focus once again with determination. Sky's face passed through my head, why was I thinking of her?! But when I opened my eyes a bigger flame enough to fit in my hand ignited, I slowly focus on the ice at my feet first and melted it. Though when I went to launch it at Tie, he extinguished it quickly with his ice. And the fire in my hand was gone again, "you had it Glass, what happened?" I turned my fiery stare and just when I went to strangle the prideful fucker the doors opened and Aidan strides out.
"I can't leave you guys along for even a bit," Aidan said. We glanced at him and I slowly went to speak but then there she was striding out with her turquoise eyes prying into me. She walked over to me and went to smack me across the face. I quickly caught her wrist but what shocked me more was the sparks that stung my skin. I quickly pulled away, "I wouldn't do that if I were you." I said angrily but calmly. She steps closer to meet my eyes, too close, those eyes stared with confidence. I couldn't breathe, my breath caught in my throat and shivers went straight to my groin. Fuck. No woman has ever made me this ready just from one fiery gaze. "I may be new to all of this but trust me when I say if you ever try to take my life again, I will watch you fall in agony. Do not underestimate me." She said without hesitation.
I slowly glanced at her lips and moved my hand slowly but then clenched my fist to me. "Don't worry Princess, I like to play with my prey first." She digs her hard gaze into me deeper. "Okay, wonderful bonding, Ember you hungry?" Tie offers. She slowly took her gaze off me and I felt bare as she strides to the kitchen without a word. Wasn't she just all warm and fuzzy, lovely.
She sat on the stool and didn't speak a word as Tie made something for her. You'd think he wouldn't be a cook at all but he was one of the best at cooking. "Will you behave for once, does it kill you to utter one small nice word?" Aidan directed his harsh tone to me. "Why should I be so low as to kiss her feet like you?" I said, coldly. Aidan glares at me. "How many times-" he started. "I get it, I'll hold off for now, I'll admit she's got spunk and may be useful however one day I will kill her and you won't be able to stop me." I threatened.
Aidan's eyes flared with anger but he didn't have nothing else to say to me as he silenced and sat next to Ember. "What are you cooking Tie?" He glanced at him, "No absolutely not, I will not cook you anything, this is for the pretty girl." Ember scoffed at him and stared at the bowl of curried lentil, tomato, and coconut soup. hesitantly.

"I definitely poisoned it." He says playfully. "Gage care to take a bite for her?" Tie asked me. I gave him a cold stare, "shut up you prick before-" He was soon struck in shock as Ember scarfed a lot down for a small petite girl and dug in as to completely avoid Gage coming near her. They guys stared at her in shock, "there's plenty where that came from, calm down." Tie gave her a wary stare. She slowed and glanced around as if it was a bad thing they saw that and quickly gained her posture as to avoid any questions. Then she held the bowl out in front of her letting Tie know she wanted more. Why is she acting this way, doesn't she eat at home?
Aidan gave a concerned look towards her but didn't risk questioning it. "Any ideas on what just happened," my question most directed at Aidan. He looked at me as if to keep it a secret, and shook his head then I turned to Tie who raised an eyebrow. "What are you guys standing there for eat?" She said quickly and Tie covered the food quickly as to prevent it but couldn't. As me and Aidan were starving too and attacked him and he soon gave in and ate with us. "I'm not gonna always cook," he said clearly. "How do you know how to cook something so delicious?" Ember asked, curiously. "Believe it or not I come from an Italian background." He smiles but doesn't elaborate, he always tries to be mysterious to charm. Frankly, I didn't think it'd work on this girl even if he has amazing experience with women.
I placed the plates in the sink and looked at Ember, " I hope you enjoyed your relaxation while you can, tomorrow we start practice," I say. She stops for a minute and looks up, "practice?" And looks at Tie and Aidan whom just stay silent in agreement.
