Rosie awoke just as Marta made, what to Blanc seemed like a quick errand, but was actually a critical stop. While Blanc had some headphones in, singing his heart out, Rosie slipped out of the car, unnoticed, to follow Marta. She waddled a few paces behind in her still tired state, and arrived in the dark, eerie room just as Marta was trying to call an ambulance.

A scream ripped from her throat at the sight of the housekeeper she had known all her life, convulsing on the floor. Marta whipped around abruptly, startled, as she thought she was alone.

"Frannie!" Rosie cried, unsure of what was going on, but even her young mind knew something was very wrong.

"Oh no, no, no, no!" Marta panicked. She darted over to Rosie who still stood in the doorway, grabbing her face and pushing it into her stomach, shielding her innocent eyes from the horrifying sight. She had never thought it would turn out like this.

🔪🔪🔪

Rosie was still crying as they sat in the hospital waiting room. Marta had gotten her some cookies from the vending machine, which cheered her up slightly, but she was still very confused, and all the adults seemed to he panicking which didn't help.

Blanc was on the phone. Ending his call, he turned to Marta.

"Young Ransom just told Lieutenant Elliott everything."

Rosie looked up at the name, desperate to get back to Ransom, the only person she felt truly safe with. Marta rambles on about how she wants to inform the Thrombey's of what had happened by herself, although Blanc seemed to disagree with the idea at first, before eventually giving in.

"Oh! Rosie, honey!" Linda sighed in relief as Rosie ran towards her. The girl was wrapped in a hug with her father joining the huddle. Rosie made her rounds giving every family member a hug and a kiss on the cheek before reaching Ransom, gesturing to be picked up. He complied, placing her on his hip.

"I missed you." She whispered quietly.

"I missed you too, pumpkin." He responded, content with her in his arms.

Marta stood at the front of the room, beginning her confession, although most of the family seemed to assume she was about to offer them the contents of Harlan's will.

"Excuse me!" Blanc suddenly burst in, and after a small speech of Marta's defence, he declares. "Ms. Cabrera has decided definitely not the renounce the inheritance."

"What!" Walt exclaimed.

"What?" Marta was just as confused.

"What." Rosie gasped, having no idea what they were questioning but wanting to join in, and being gently shushed by Ransom.

"And furthermore, it will be my professional recommendation to the local authorities that the manner of death in the case of Harlan Thrombey is ruled as suicide, and the case is closed. Thank you all for coming. Goodbye." Blanc ends dramatically.

The family remain startled, all talking over each other, attempting to grasp what had just happened.

"Are you in trouble, Ransom?" Rosie questions cutely.

"No, pumpkin, of course not." Ransom replies, not wanting her to think different of him.

"Oh don't lie to the girl Ransom! Thats a slippery slope, she could turn out just like you!" Walt suddenly blows up. "Or maybe it's inevitable given the blood that you two share!"

"Walt!" Linda exclaims, having been trying to stop him talking.

"Ah fuck." Richard sighs.

"What?" Ransom questions furiously. "What! What is he talking about, 'the blood we share'? Mother!?"
