CHAPTER 8 [Mother]

A woman with a yellow hjiab hummed as she held a baby...

The baby laughed as the woman tickles his tummy.

A small boy opened the door running to the woman worried.

"Petir? You're finally here..." She smiled at the young Petir.

"Mom... your messange sounded urgent...what-" He looked at the baby whom was on the woman's arms.

"Another one, Seriously mom-? Isn't the others enough??" The kid looked at the woman bitterly.

"Petir..." The woman put her hand on the kid's head "Take care of him for me ok?"

"Huh?? Why me- Can't you and dad do that?" The kid raised an eyebrow.

"Your father's gonna be busy for a few...years and I'm..." The woman hesitated "I don't have much time... After giving birth to Cahaya here, my body weakened alot..." Despite saying such unfortunate news the woman smiled.

"What." The kid couldn't believe what he was hearing "You're kidding right?" The woman gripped the bed sheets.

"I wish I was" She weakly smiled.

The kid looked the the tiny child hate growing...

He's really close to his mother...
Very close...

Losing her because of some random child is...painful for him...

Silence....

The woman gave the kid the baby he hesitated but ended up holding him.

She smiled and laid back on the bed.

She stopped moving.

"Mom-"  He held her hand, it was cold.

"MOM!!"

After a few years....

"Brother- I'm sorry whatever I did I'm sorry- ok??"

"I h a t e  y o u. "

Oh how I regret those words.

I'm sorry little brother.

The others looked at me worryingly.

"You sure Petir? You guys haven't really get along..." Tanah frowned.

"I'll be fine plus... I have contributed into his attitude" I left to go upstairs.

I walked, until I saw a door with a light symbol.

I knocked no one answered.

"Cahaya?" I heard something fall from the other side.

"What do you want!?" I heard Cahaya scream his voice was cracked.

"Cahaya open the door it's time for dinner" I held the door nob.

"I'm not hungry." He was gripping some sort of paper.

"Cahaya open the door." I gripped the door nob harder.

"No! I'm not hungry!" I exclaimed.

"Cahaya you are not skipping dinner!" I said while getting ready to punch the door open.

"Open the door Cahaya!" I was gonna lose it until...

Hick...hick....

Crying?

"Cahaya open the door..." I said while letting go of the door nob.

I opened the door to see Cahaya face filled with dry tears and tissues on the floor.

I ran to him and hugged him, he kept crying non-stop.

"Cahaya..." I let go of the hug to see Cahaya who usually looked confident and cocky all crying and shaking.

"Cahaya what's wrong?" I held his trembling hands.

"I-i...I didn't want..." New tears were starting to fall down from his face.

I didn't wanna force him to say....I just hugged him once again...it was silent for a while...
And then I noticed he was asleep-

He still hasn't eaten...

Guess I'll let him sleep for a while...

I yawned and we both ended up sleeping beside his bed as he leaned on me.
