Earlier that day:

Klaus had yet to hear from Elijah about the car he saw Jade get into. Angry and frustrated, he decided to go to Rousseau's to get a drink and wait. Klaus sat at the bar drinking his bourbon. Camille poured Klaus his glass and offered to talk to him about what was bothering him, but Klaus refused her offer. Even though she was his therapist, there was nothing she could do to help him, and he didn't want her help anyway. He didn't want to give Camille any false hope. Klaus's only focus was on finding Jade and discovering what this strange obsession with her was all about.

Klaus was drinking his fourth drink when his phone rang; he looked at the caller ID and saw it was Elijah. “Do you have news for me, Brother?”

“Yes, the plates belong to a local taxi service. They had received a call from a man telling him to pick up Jade and take her to her new home outside the French Quarter.”

“Do you have the address of the company?” Klaus asked.

“Of course,” Elijah gave Klaus the address of the car service, then hung up. Klaus finished his drink and made his way through the business. He walked in and demanded to know who the driver picked up Jade Howlett and where he dropped her off. At first, the manager refused, but Klaus compelled him to give him the information. The manager told Klaus that he gave the driver the information to memorize it and then destroyed the address.

“The only thing I can tell you is that you ask the driver when he returns,” The manager informed Klaus.

Klaus scowled at the thought of having to waste time, so he compelled the manager to tell him where the driver was. Once he found out where he was, Klaus used his vamp speed to make his way to the area where the driver was. He found the driver sitting in his car waiting for his next fare.

The driver was dosing off when his door was ripped open, and he was forcefully pulled out of the car. Instantly the driver put his hands up, “Listen, Mister, you can all my money and the car as long as you don't hurt me.”

Klaus rolled his eyes, “Oh, please, don't insult me. I want information that only you can give me,” Klaus stared into the driver's eyes, “You will tell me where you took Jade Howlett and give me her address, then you will forget I was ever here,” Klaus compelled the driver.

The driver's eyes glazed over, he tried to answer, but he couldn't; something was blocking his speaking ability. The only thing that the driver could do was sputter nonsense. Klaus narrowed his eyes and searched the man to see if he was wearing vervain. To Klaus's surprise, there was no trace of vervain on him.

What Klaus didn't know was that Warren had gotten in contact with Remy and asked him to ask one of the telepaths to erase the driver's memory of anything that had to do with Jade. Warren wasn't going to make it easy for Klaus to find Jade.

Klaus tried again to compel the driver; when he saw that it didn't work, he roared in frustration and attacked the man draining him and leaving the body there for Marcel to deal with. Klaus made his way back to the Abattoir; there had to be a way for him to track down Jade; Klaus only needed to think of it. Klaus called a witch that he semi-trusted and explained what he wanted. The witch told him that she would get back to him as soon as she had some information. So, the only thing that Klaus could do was go home and wait.
