Overthinking

Next school morning at lunchbreak, you sit with the Hellfire Club and Eddie is not there...

Y/n: Have anyone seen Eddie?- you ask the group. You kinda looked foward to the lunchbreak so you could see him and talk about yesterday and stuff, but you haven't seen him all day.

Dustin: Uhm.. no? Maybe he went to the spot to do a drugdeal.

Mike: Yeah that wouldn't be too weird if that was where he went.

Y/n: A drugdeal? In lunchbreak?... alright thank you guys, i'll go look for him- you say and start walking toward the exit.

D: Y/n wait! You probably shouldn't go out there if he's making a deal. Eddie is pretty protective over the secrecy of the place- he says. You smile and keep walking. He probably wont mind if you show up. You walk out to the spot and when you get into the woods you hear some voices and walks closer.

"You don't remember me!?"

>"Sorry!.."

It's a girls voice. Chrissy Cunningham? What is she doing with Eddie? You walk closer and see Eddie and Chrissy laughing together. Your stomach suddenly feels like 10 heavy stones. It's not like you don't allow Eddie to talk to other girls but, it just feels unsettling when you both haven't really talked about boundaries and things like that. Chrissy looks like she thinks Eddie is really hot... which he is but.. it doesn't feel right. What if Eddie just always does this with girls? Flirts and tells them he's in love wit them. I mean, i haven't known him for that long so what if this is just how he is with girls? Plays them...- you think. You turn around and walk back to the school feeling down and uncomfortable.

After school, you walk to Eddies classroom to meet up with him, but he isn't there... It kinda feels like he's ignoring you. What if he thinks he said too much yesterday and isn't really falling in love with you?! All this overthinking makes you nauseous an you decide to go home, even though you haven't seen Eddie all day. It feels weird thinking about where he is and what he is doing. Maybe I should just give him some space. I don't want him to feel trapped..

You go to your room and lay in you bed looking at the ceiling. You can't stop thinking about Eddie.. His soft curly hair, dark eyes, sweet smile and his calming voice. It's just weird he didn't come looking for you, especially after what happened yesterday.. It all just feels like a dream, like it's not real. Maybe i'm just overreacting..

Next day in School:

You're sitting at the table with the Hellfire Club and finally you spot Eddie walking over to you. You try not to look at him.. It's weird if he doesn't want to be around you and he didn't reach out to you yesterday so he obviously has something going on. Eddie sits down and says hi to the other guys. He looks at you curiously and has his head at an angle. He puts his hand on your shoulder to get your attention and you look up at him looking you deep in the eyes, like he's trying to find answers of why you're so sad. He nods his head towards the hallway and gets up.

E: Hey guys, we'll be back in a minute- he says and you follow him out to a quiet place where you can be alone.

E: Hey sweetheart what's wrong? Are you alright?- he says with a soft and concerned voice.

Y/n: Uhm no not really...- you say quietly- i didn't see you all day yesterday, and then i saw you with Chrissy Cunningham out at the spot and it just felt weird, cause she was looking at you in like, a flirty way and i just felt uncomfortable and then i didn't see you the rest of the day and..- Eddie interrupts.

E: Hey, hey wait a minute... calm down sweetheart- he says, stroking your hair and holdning you on the shoulder with his other hand.

E: Do you think i like Chrissy just because i was making a deal with her?- he says concerned, ut not angry.

Y/n: No.. i mean.. no it's just that i only saw you with her the whole day and you didn't even reach out to me...- you say holdning back tears.

E: Sweetheart... I'm so sorry I thought about you the whole day yesterday. I was making a deal with Chrissy yesterday and i found out she needed some help with a depression and help her find some help instead of selling her drugs. It took all day and I should have told you.. I'm sorry you got so worried!- he says, with a very calming and sweet voice. You feel much more calm after hearing the truth and smile at him.

Y/n: Thanks Eddie... Sorry I overreacted..

E: No you didn't. You would react the exact same way if it was me i think- he says with a smile and wrappes his arms around you in a tight warm hug.

E: You know, there's D&D today- he says, trying to cheer you up.

E: And.. we could go home to me afterwards and cuddle afterwards- he says with a smile. He's the sweetest when he's trying to cheer you up, cause he just wants you to feel good.

Y/n: Thank you Eddie.
