Glenn's pov:-
As I was about to enter the university, I saw Bethany approaching me. We had some talk about our upcoming classes. I still remember that I used to have a crush on Bethany during our freshman year but I soon realized that it was just a mere infatuation. As I was about to walk further, I saw Leona and Stella at the gate. I gave Leona a smile but she returned me a different look that I failed to make out. Maybe she saw us together and thought something else. Whatever it is, I'll definitely talk to her.
Leona's pov:-
The day at university went well but I was still thinking about the previous event. Seeing Glenn and Bethany talking together somehow didn't felt right; however I was in no place to talk about that. Shrugging off those thoughts, I decided to wait for Stella so that we could go home and I soon spotted her with Stephen approaching me.
"Hey....I'm sorry Leona but you see the thing is, we need to attend our aunt's birthday party today so i won't be able to walk home with you; I so sorry for that" Stella said feeling sorry.
"Thats not a problem, just enjoy your time with your family and have fun...I'll head home, bye!" I assured her.
With that they both headed towards their aunt's house and I decided to walk home alone.... letting out a big sigh before walking.
As I was walking, I felt like someone was following me. Ignoring that I kept walking faster and faster, however that person didn't seem getting tired of following me. I soon turn around and was ready for self defense with a pepper spray in my hand.
"What the hell do you-" I said with a high pitched voice aiming the pepper spray at the person's face but....
"Woah woahhh...cool down girl! It's me....Glenn!" He justified.
"What are you doing here and why were you following me!?" I asked being confused.
"I was not following you....well technically I was but I was going to call out for you but before that you just panicked and this happened!" He answered.
"Oh I'm sorry.....I was walking alone and I felt like someone behind me and I just did what I felt right...sorry" I said feeling bad for him.
"Don't be...I would have done the same though" Glenn assured.
I just gave him a nod and we started walking together. However, on our way, there was a lot of awkward silence; no one decided to talk until Glenn spoke.
"Actually, I was going to talk to you in the morning when I saw you with Stella but was stopped by Bethany, my batchmate....uhmm we are in the same class too" Glenn said but I was literally not interested in that because I already know the whole story!
"You see.....uhmm I used have a small crush on her during the freshman's" He added; but I fucking know this too! But I decided to ask him this,
"So.....you love her, don't you!?" I asked seeking for clarity God knows why!
"What....no...absolutely not! It was just a mere infatuation for me; although I realized it later" Glenn justified being astonished.
"Oh....I thought you both were a thing" I said looking down and regretting my childish behavior.
"If I would ever fall in love, you would be the first person I would like to share that with; after Stephen ofcourse orelse he will kill me!" Glenn said and we both laughed in unison. After Glenn told me that there is nothing between him and Bethany, that somehow brought a wave of relief and I felt happy!
As we were walking further, I noticed my mom with some bags in her hand; seems like she went for grocery shopping. She spots us too and eyes us kind of suspiciously.
"Hi mom....did you perhaps went for shopping or something" I asked her.
"Yes honey.....but are you not supposed to come with Stella and who is this new friend of yours!?" Mom asked me eyeing Glenn.
"Oh this is my friend, actually my senior Glenn Colemann and Glenn meet my mom" I introduced them to each other.
"Nice to meet you, Mrs.Smith" Glenn greeted her.
"Nice to meet you too son....then why don't you join us for dinner tonight Glenn!?" My mom asked and I just looked at her being surprised.
"I would be happy but I really need to head home since it's already late, maybe some other day...bye Leona and it was pleasure meeting you Mrs.Smith" Glenn assured my mom.
With that he walked on his way to home and we too headed towards home; but soon my mom asked,
"Leona, are you perhaps hiding something from me; I mean are you really friends or there is something different going on between you too!?"
"What!? No mom; there's nothing like that okay!? And please stop with this nonsense, you sound like Stella now!" I said defending myself.
"Okay if you say so....but he seems to be really handsome and a nice guy...you should think of dating him someday before it's too late!" Mom suggested.
"Mom! Stop it already" I said with a done expression and started walking past her.
However, the thought of dating Glenn somehow brought smile on my face. God what am I even thinking, I really need to block those flirty vibes of Stella because I'm acting like a maniac now!
