Leona's pov:-
"This bitch....." I whispered to myself.
Why would he do that!? Am I that short that Glenn didn't even noticed me! God, I don't know why but I don't like them vibing together. While I was busy talking to my inner self, Stella tapped on my shoulder,
"Hey.....so sweet of you that you were waiting for me!" She said blinking her eyes like a small kid!
"Are you dumb,Stella; I've been waiting for you for God knows how many hours and you despite knowing that, prefers coming late!" I said taking all my anger on her.
"I'm sorry....but according to me I'm just 10 mins late.... I guess" Stella said looking at her watch.
"Come on....let's go!" I said but before heading to the class , I took a quick glance only to see Glenn and Bethany talking peacefully.
"I saw them...." Stella said after a long pause.
"Saw who!?" I asked acting dumb.
"Come on.....don't do that! I know you're jealousssss!" She said wiggling her eyebrow.
"I'M NOT!" I said pointing my finger at Stella.
"You areeeee!" Stella said kinda singing.
"God Stella, stop it! We're already late; hurry up and shut your mouth!" I said in warning tone.
"Shuting my mouth doesn't change the fact that you were jealous or you are....still!" Stella said teasingly.
I don't know for how long we were bickering but we managed to reach class. Well, Stella was right; previously I got jealous, actually I'm still! But whyyyy?! Glenn last time clarified that Bethany was just an infatuation for him; then what is wrong with me! Half day has already passed and I'm still stucked there. My thoughts were soon interrupted by Ms.Green.
"Students who don't pay attention in my class; end up having detention Ms.Smith." Ms.Green said grabbing my attention.
"Im sorry, ma'am!" I apologized bowing.
"But I think I already made myself clear Ms.Smith." She said reminding me of detention and I knew there was no way running from this. Huffing out some air; I got out from the classroom and headed for detention room.
I entered the detention room and found literally no one! Well maybe people are not dumb like me. Giving out a long sigh, I grabbed one of the chair and sat on it; wondering what I should do, I was just scribbling on my book. Time passed and I was still alone but then suddenly the front door opened and guess what! I found Bethany entering the room. I quickly shifted my gaze away from her before she thinks of me like I'm some jerk! I acted like I don'tknow her; well technically I don't! And again, there was this awkward silence that comes to me as if it is my best friend.
"So....you're Leona Smith, right!?
Bethany asked suddenly.
"Yes...and you're?" I'm good at pretending though.
"I'm Bethany Adams...nice to meet you" She said sticking her hand out for a handshake. And I simply nodded ignoring her hand; God! I really need to keep personal grudges aside. Again......silence.
"Actually, Glenn told me about you." She added after aong pause;and that quickly caught my attention.
"About me!?" I asked pointing at myself and not actually believing her.
"Yeahh! He told me that you two are preparing for a duet for the upcoming music competition." Bethany clarified.
"Well, probably everyone knows that...I guess" I said.
"Yes everyone do know, but not everyone knows how good of a singer you're; believe me Glenn was so enthusiastically talking about your singing that day! And I bet you are going to rock this competition." She said.
"About my singing....." I said smiling sadly to myself.
"Yes, actually Glenn and I are really good friends; he used to have a crush on me but that was actually cringe you know! But Glenn himself realized that it was just infatuation." Bethany justified.
"Uhhh...what about you then; didn't you thought the same for him!? I asked curiously.
"Every girl in this campus is head over heels for him; he is indeed a gentlemen, but trust me our friendship is way more better that anything else." She said; and I simply nodded. Not going to lie; I somehow felt relieved hearing this; but how do I trust her! Suddenly the bell rang indicating that it is time for lunch now.
"Okay, bye for now and I'm really looking forward your performance!" Bethany said excitedly. I think she is not that bad; and now I feel guilty for judging her. God what the fuck is wrong with me!
I soon headed for lunch and spotted Stella at our table already with our lunch,
"See....detention is not that bad" She said teasingly.
"Yeah yeah....shutup now." I said rolling my eyes at her.
As we were having lunch; we saw Stephen and Glenn walking towards us,
"Did you too also came in right now!?" Stephen asked.
"Yes, actually Leona was busy with her detention today....so..." Stella answered making fun of me.
"Why would you get detention!?" Glenn asked eagerly.
"Uhmmm.... actually i was not attentive in Ms.Green's class today so...yeah I ended up with detention " I said looking down at my plate.
"What were you doing that you ended up having a detention?" Stephen asked. And trust me these two sibling are so alike! Irritating.
"I was just thinking about random stuffs, that's all!" I justified.
"Is everything okay...!?" Glenn asked being genuinely concerned.
But how am I supposed to tell him that I was just thinking about him!
