Glenn's pov:-
As we were walking through the corridor I was just debating with myself whether I should ask her to perform with me like a duet performance. Shrugging off all the negative thoughts I decided to ask Leona about the idea.
"Leona.....what if we perform together you know like a duet performance!?" I asked.
"A duet!?" She asked being perplexed.
"Yes!....that would be so great like-" I was soon interrupted by Leona.
"You see Glenn I'm not that of a good singer....I think I would just mess up with our performance if we do so" Leona said looking down fidgeting with her fingers.
"Well that is very wrong of you to think like that okay!? Let's just give it a try...come on be an adventurous girl!...don't worry you're not alone in this I'm with you" I assured her.
"Okay....well it doesn't seems that difficult to me now since you're with me" Leona replied smiling.
I was initially surprised to hear her response but then I felt relieved thinking that she doesn't feels awkward with me anymore. Maybe this could really help us to know each other more. Well that is what I wished for.
We soon applied for the duet performance and I was happy that this was finally happening. Let's just hope that this turns out well.
Leona's pov:-
After completing the application procedure of the music competition I decided to go to the library. As I was walking through the corridor, I was still thinking about 'Our' duet performance. For that we definitely need to practice together. I will try my best not to let my feelings linger during our time together. One second! What feelings I'm even talking about. If I keep thinking like this towards Glenn it would definitely make things difficult between us and I don't want that to happen. No this is completely wrong I should stop this.....immediately!
I finally reached the library and sat on one of the seat and took out my study materials. Time passed as I was studying but I soon jumped on my seat due to the loud voice of Stella.
"Girl! I knew you would be here since I didn't found you somewhere else" Stella said being completely unaware that she was in the library.
"God slow down Stella, there are other people too!" Leona whispered.
Stella quickly looked around and found everyone looking at her with done expression.
"Oh! I'm so sorry everyone" Stella said slightly bowing to them.
"Come on let's head out before something new happens!" Leona said grabing Stella and both rushed out of the library.
"Jeez! Slow down a bit and tell me how it went!?" Stella asked being curious.
"How went what!?" Leona asked being confused.
"Come on your application thing! Remember?" Stella asked being done.
"Oh yeah sure....about that.....so the thing is Glenn asked if we both could do a duet performance. Initially I was a bit scared but he assured that it would go good. So we ended up applying for a duet performance!" Leona said all in one breath.
"What!? That's amazing. I was already praying to God to do something that would bring you two together, but I didn't hope for it to happen this sooner!" Stella said clapping her hands like a small child.
"I already told you to stop with your fantasies!" Leona said with stern look.
"Girl you believe it or not but I already ship you two and no one can stop me from doing that okay?" Stella said by folding her arms over her chest.
"Fineee! Do whatever you want but for now we need to head home orelse we are going to be late...come on let's go" Leona said shaking her head while Stella smiled in victory.
Next day:- At university.
Like every other day, Leona and Stella were walking together to the university.
"So when are you going to start your rehearsals!?" Stella asked wiggling her eyebrows.
"We haven't decided it yet but we'll soon.....and stop acting like a maniac Stella!" Leona said rolling her eyes.
"Am I not allowed to smile too!?" Stella said innocently.
"Yeah whatever..." Leona said shaking her head.
As they were walking, they saw Glenn talking to a girl and he seemed to be happy while talking to her. And talking about her, she was indeed a pretty girl; no doubt he seemed happy while doing that. Not able to have hold of herself she asked Stella,
"Uhmm...who is that girl talking to Glenn over there!?"
As soon as Stella heard Leona's voice, she jerked her head towards the direction Leona pointed.
"Oh she!? I don't know her much but I remember Stephen telling me once that Glenn had a huge crush on her during their freshman year....uhh what was her name...!? Yeah Bethany" Stella said.
"So she is our senior too?" Leona questioned back but her eyes where still on Glenn and Bethany.
"Ofcourse! They study in the same class" Stella answered.
Hearing this information, Leona felt a huge pit of doubt forming in her stomach. She just hoped that this 'crush' thing should not lead to something else. As she was about to divert her eyes, she found Glenn looking at her with a fond smile. But she returned him a tight liped smile and rushed from there. This left Glenn thinking about the reason behind her weird behavior and decided to have conversation with her later.
