"Dean! Get outta the shower! We gotta leave in 10 minutes!" Sam called from outside the bathroom door.
I groaned, reluctantly turning off the hot water. The thing I hate more than anything, other than shitty pop music, is school.
I grabbed a towel from the bathroom drawer, and dried my face.
My green eyes caught my reflection in the steamy mirror, making me wince.
I shoke my head, putting on a flannel shirt and my favorite pair of jeans. I quickly brushed my teeth before exiting the bathroom.
"Let's go!" Sam yelled, sprinting past me and down the stairs.
I rolled my eyes. What a control freak.

"If I ask you a question, promise me you won't get all pissy?" Sam asked, as I drove us to our new school.
I tightened my grip on the steering wheel. "Depends."
Sam narrowed his eyes before pulling a crinkled envelope from his pocket.
"Why did you throw this in the garbage?"
I furrowed my eyebrows, irritated that he took that from the trash. "Why do you have that? I threw it away for a reason." I snapped, shifting in my seat.
"But why? Our neighbors are inviting us to a party and you're turning it down?" Sam asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Uh, yeah I'm turning it down. And what the hell, man? Were you spying on me or what?" I demanded, frustrated.
He shrugged. "No, I just happened to come around the corner and see you throw some letter away. Curiosity got the better of me."
I frowned. "Yeah, whatever."
"I still think we should go. Dad says we can." Sam added, giving me a tight smile.
"You told dad?" I groaned. "I don't even want to go!"
"But isn't this what you want, Dean!?" Sam asked. "Some normalcy? A neighbor is inviting you to a BBQ party! How much more normal can you get? Maybe this will be just the thing that will help you get that."
I glanced over at my brother, letting out a deep sigh.
He's right. I hate to admit it, but he's right. I do want normal, and maybe a stupid party will get me one step closer.
"Okay," I said, giving in. "Fine. I'll go."
Sam grinned, looking out the window. "Thanks, Dean."
I gave him a side smile. "No problem, Sammy."

"Where the hell is room 266?" I muttered to myself, walking down the empty hallway. I let out a frustrated sigh, realizing I'm completely lost.
I run a hand through my hair, not knowing what to do. This is why I hate new schools. This is why I hate new anything!
"Do you need help?" A familiar voice asked behind me.
I turned around, seeing those familiar blue eyes from yesterday.
"Do you need help finding your first hour?" Castiel asked, looking at the paper I held in my hand.
I cleared my throat, caught off guard by his sudden appearance. "Uh, yeah. Do you know where room 266 is by any chance?" I asked, frowning.
He gave me a small smile before responding. "If you go down this hall, and then take a left, it's the 4th door on the right. You have physics first hour? Jeez, that'll be tough."
I shrugged, looking down the empty hallway. "Thanks, and yeah I know. But it's not like I'll show up half of the time anyways."
He nodded, leaning back on his heels.
"Uh," I said, scratching the back of my neck. "Shouldn't you be getting to class?" I asked, a strange warmness filling my chest.
"Well, it's my free period, so I don't really have to be anywhere." He responded, shrugging.
I nodded. "Uh-huh. Well I should be going. Thanks for, uh, helping." I said, walking past him.
His arm gently brushed mine as I walked past, causing my breath to hitch. I glanced over my shoulder before I turned the corner. Castiel was still standing there looking in my direction. I offered a small smile before turning the corner, the image of blue eyes still burned into my mind.
