I pulled into Cas's driveway, and put the Impala in park.
"Thank you," Cas said, giving me a small smile.
"No need to thank me, Cas." I said, returning the smile.
"But I do, you didn't have to do this but you did. So thank you," he said, leaning forward.
I gently cupped his face in my hand, giving him a soft kiss.
"I'll see you Monday," Cas said softly, pulling away and stepping out of the car. I nodded to him as he opened the front door of his house. He gave me a small wave before disappearing inside, leaving me with a stupid grin on my lips.
I pulled out of his driveway and into mine. I stepped out of the car, glancing at my phone and realizing it was almost midnight. Had Cas and I really been out that long?
I quickly walked to the front door, hoping I wouldn't get busted for staying out past 11:00 p.m. curfew.
I quietly opened the front door, and closed it behind me. I tip-toed to the kitchen, kicking off my shoes and turning on the light.
"Dean," a stern voice said behind me.
I squeezed my eyes shut, realizing I'd been caught.
I turned to face my doom, an innocent smile on my lips. My dad looked more tired than angry, like he was disappointed.
"Where have you been?" He asked, his voice cold and emotionless.
"With a... friend," I lied, shifting uncomfortably.
"A friend that you kiss? Interesting." He stated, a bored look filling his features.
"You saw?" I asked, dumbly.
"Uh-huh."
"And?" I swallowed, a slice of hope that he might understand.
"And, I want you to spend a little more time on school than kissing boys," he said, crossing his arms over his chest.
I scoffed. "So now you want me to have a good education?"
His eyes widened slightly, surprised that I'm fighting back. "I always have."
I shook my head, looking away from him. "And that's why we go to a different school every year?"
He furrowed his eyebrows. "You still get an education, don't you? You still have a roof over your head, don't you? Why are you so ungrateful?" He demanded, taking a threatening step towards me.
I stepped back, fear spreading inside me.
"I'm sorry," I mumbled, realizing that fighting with him will get me no where. "I'm sure you are. Anyways, I have work early tomorrow. Don't stay out late again or there will be consequences. You're just lucky Sammy's asleep." He turned to walk back up stairs, glancing back at me. "Understood?"
"Yes, sir." I mumbled, rubbing the back of my neck.
"Good." And with that, he was back upstairs, sleeping like the bear he is.
I let out a deep sigh, like I hadn't breathed since he first called my name.
Good thing he's to tired to punish me, I thought as I walked up to my room. He's been tired a lot lately, especially with his new job.
Suddenly, a dreaded thought crossed my mind, causing me to frown. I sulked up the stairs, feeling as though the world now weighed on my shoulders.
How could I do this to myself?
How could I have done this to Cas?
I changed into a t-shirt and sweat pants, but I didn't go to bed.
I sat down at my desk and opened up a notebook.
I frowned as I started writing a letter. On the top of the page I dated it, and started with two simple words:
Dear Castiel,
