Under the tree, e/c were met with ones of a raven in a net. The two stared at each other before y/n took a few steps forward and ripped the net apart.

The bird then flew in front of them and they stared at each other for a few more moments, until unexpectedly the raven spoke up.

"Thank you for freeing me. My name is Ozvaldo. I was in search of my princess when I was caught in this net."

'please. please don't tell me the bird just spoke.' Poor y/n thought as they stumbled back in shock, leading them to trip and fall while staring at the raven.

'That's it. I'm going insane.' They sighed.

"If you don't mind, may I help you in exchange for saving me? Is there something you need?" The raven said gently, and landed in front of y/n.

Y/n shook as the raven stared at them. A talking bird wasn't the worst thing to happen today, but y/n definitely wasn't in the best condition to complain either  They gestured to their mouth and made an x sign.

"Ah I see, then I shall guess what you need assistance with."

'Oh thank archons this TALKING BIRD isn't stupid.' They thought to themselves before making a triangle above their head, and a sleeping gesture.

"You need somewhere to stay, do you? It is getting quite dark out. I'll see what things I can do." The bird nodded, and he flapped his wings so he was once again flying.

He then flew off towards who knows where and y/n stood up and dusted themselves off, still being a bit shook.

'That was eventful..'

-

Y/n had continued walking through the large field. The sun had set, leaving stars filling the quiet sky.

'That damn bird.. he lied didn't he? Even animals are back stabbers now.' They sighed and plopped themselves on the ground, hearing their stomach rumble.

'I didn't even grab food either. I'm gonna die of hunger or even exhaustion before I get to tomorrow.'

They felt their hands raise up to their hands, and pulled themself in a ball. The quiet sounds of the night weren't enough to calm the emotional state of y/n, but they were enough to lull them into a delusional state of almost-slumber.

They stopped themselves when they felt the ground shaking. Rumbles erupted around them and they could hear the creaking of moving rusted objects. Their hands shot down and their head flew up.

'What the fuck.' When they looked up, their stomach dropped.

'IS THAT AETHER'S CASTLE?? OH MY ARCHONS. I'M 100% DEAD. WHY IS IT HERE OF ALL PLACES?'

And before they could even think of running away, the castle stood in front of them and stopped, leaning down closer to the ground.

"My liege, I have arrived with a warm place to stay." The raven appeared in front of y/n, startling them once more.

They smiled lightly. Not a happy smile, but a "I'm gonna murder you" type of look.

"Don't worry, they mean no harm. I brought the moving castle here just for you, now let us go over to the door."

Y/n got up quickly and followed the bird to the door and hopped onto the ledge, feeling the castle start moving once again.

They smiled towards the bird as a thank you, and waved at him.

"Safe travels my liege! May we meet again in the future."

Once the bird was out of view, y/n had a look of shock on their face.

'I was.. just talking to a fucking bird.. AND NOW I'M OUTSIDE AETHER'S MOVING CASTLE???' They panicked.

'Yep, that's it. I'm either losing all my brain cells, or I've already lost them.'

Y/n turned towards the door and took a deep breath in, grabbing the handle and shakily turning it, opening the door to let themselves inside.

They shut the door and mouthed to call out for anyone, but were met with silence. They mentally smacked themselves and knocked a small tune on the door.

No response.

They tried again.

No response.

They sighed and climbed the small staircase, being met with a lage, dusty room with cutlery, food, books, and other junk everywhere. It was like a hoarding house that hadn't been cleaned in 5 years.

However, the mess wasn't the only thing they saw. They were also met with a pair of dark blue eyes.

"AAAAaAAAAAA" The small fairy thing shrieked.

"MMMMMMM" Y/n 'shrieked' back.

"AETHER THERE'S A STRANGE PERSON IN OUR HOUSE.." The tiny thing yelled.

"PAIMON SHUT UP WE'RE TRYING TO SLEEP." A female voice rang from upstairs.

"BUT LUMINE- A STRANGER!"

Y/n tried their best to gesture to the thing that they meant no harm but it seemed to go through the mascot's head.

Suddenly, the duo heard creaking and y/n turned their head towards the stairs to be met with golden eyes and a soft face of a young girl. She was similar to the man that saved her that day.

"Uh- hey." Lumine said quietly, staring at y/n. The blonde looked over their features before her eyes lit up slightly.

However, y/n just looked like a crazy person flailing their arms around. Lumine sighed, and turned her attention towards the upstairs with a sad smile tracing her features.

"Yea I'm too tired to deal with this. Paimon get them a blanket. You can sleep by the fireplace or something. Aether will be down tomorrow." Lumine yawned, and walked back upstairs.

Y/n stood there in shock and Paimon reluctantly grabbed the nearest dusty blanket and threw it at the poor person. They nodded their head as a thank you and sat on the old chair by the fireplace which glowed a warm orange.

The warmth of the area brought them into a daze, and aside from the crunching of food being consumed by the 'fairy' and the mess that had happened that day, the world seemed to go silent, and calmed y/n down until their last signs of consciousness, relieving the nerves built up that day.
