JAY - COOKING

Chocolate chip pancakes always seemed so easy to make, especially after watching Jay's mom cook them. As a bonus, they smelled delicious, too.

If only you knew...

"Y/n, the stove! Focus!" Jay laughs while turning your shoulders toward the steaming pan of batter.

"Ah, right, sorry!" you laugh, embarrassed you had managed to be distracted already.

You pick up the plastic spatula and flip over your pancake. Chocolate slowly drips down the sides of your pancake as you flip it. You let out the breath you just realized you had been holding in and turn back to face Jay. He has a shocked expression that takes you a moment to realize the cause of.

"How does that much chocolate even fling out of that?" he shrieks.

He grabs the hem of his shirt to straighten it out and you see several splotches of chocolate scattered around, along with a couple on his face.

"Here, let me get it for you," you tease and wipe his face, smearing the chocolate around.

"Yah, y/n!" he shouts and reaches out to grab your hand, but you are faster.

You bolt out of the kitchen and hide around a corner, preparing to scare Jay if he finds you. This plan fails, though, as all others today seem to be doing.

"You can't hide from me!" he whisper-shouts and jumps out next to your hiding spot, beginning to tickle you. You laugh harder and harder and gasp for air when he stops.

"Jay, I think you're forgetting something..."

He raises a questioning eyebrow.

"I never took that pancake off the pan."

[Sorry guys I feel like this is so bad but I couldn't really think of a smooth way to end this so here you go lol <3]
