Eddie rummaged for a key to a back shed under some rocks and I looked around at the surroundings. "Gotcha" He unlocked the door and motioned for me to go ahead of him.
"So uhh...I guess we're sleeping here tonight?" Eddie looked around and grabbed a tarp off of a small fishing boat and laid it on the ground. I sat down against a post and waited for Eddie to sit with me.We had been fairly quiet since we left Eddie's, I was still traumatized and processing. I crossed my arms as the wind blew making me shiver. It was a March night in Indiana, so it was still cold. "Cold Blondie?" I started to shake my head before looking over at Eddie; "Blondie?" I asked
He shrugged "You are a blonde." He took his leather jacket off and placed it on my shoulders. I smiled softly, he started to pace around before stopping to face me "wanna play a game?" I laughed and wanted to make a snarky reply, but instead I just told him yes. He pulled out a join and explained that we would guess heads or tails, and whoever lost had to tell the other something about them. Basic, but oh well.
"Heads." I said confidently.
He chuckled "Tails."
"Shocker..uhh I have 3 tattoos?" He looked shocked at my answer before asking what they were. "Well," I began "One is on the back of my neck, a flower..One is on my ankle..and the other is..confidential." It was on my hip. I wanted to leave him some mystery...I also didn't dare tell him it was a bat. He had a bat tattoo also...I think it makes us soulmates but we'll just hope he figures that one out on his own.
He raised an eyebrow at my response "I'll get back to that later. Heads." He flipped the coin which landed on tails again, I laughed lightly and he seemed to ponder what he could tell me about himself. "OH!" he jumped up excitedly "I'm in a band!" It was cute how happy he got. "If we don't get arrested I'll come watch you play." I told him before yawning
"Tired?" he moved closer towards me. I nodded before looking for something to use as a blanket. Another tarp it was...Eddie laid over near the boat and flicked off the light, after about 5 minutes of silence I sighed
"Eddie?" I sat up on my elbows "Would you..would you lay with me?" He started to speak but I cut him off "It's just cold...thats all" he didn't even say a word. Just came over and laid down on the wood floor. I laid back down with a smile and he put an arm over me. I backed up closer to him and his arm tightened around my waist. I could feel his heart beating faster. I rolled over and nuzzled my face into his chest without saying a word. He smelled like cheap cologne and cigarettes. He played with my hair lightly and it didn't take long for me to fall asleep. Despite the wood floor and circumstances...it was the best sleep I had ever gotten.

The sun beamed in my eyes waking me up, I felt Eddie's arm still around me and turned to see he was still asleep. I couldn't help but smile. He looked so peaceful, I snuck out from under his arm and decided to go find food. Granted we were supposed to be hiding, but to be fair...not even Steve and Dustin knew I had been with him. I stole a bike from a few houses down and found the local store, the news had already caught word about Chrissy "shit" I mumbled. I grabbed some waters, a few basic snacks, some donuts and a 6 pack and headed to the front.
The cashier looked me up and down and asked for an ID. I smiled at him and motioned towards the TV behind him "can't blame me right? Theres a murderer on the loose!" A chill ran up my spine remembering hearing Chrissy's bones snap. "15.65" he said dryly. I handed him a $20 and told him to keep the change before racing back to Rick's house
"CHRIST BROOKE!" Eddie screamed. I giggled softly and held up the supplies
"you shouldn't have left." He said dryly while twisting his rings. I closed the door behind me
