Aquamarine blinked the sand from her eyes, her light blue coral skin was covered in the thin mineral. She scanned the area, squinting from the too-close Sun. Sand everywhere the could see, water next to her. I'm here, Aquamarine smiled at the thought. She rubbed the sand from her Gem, which was a shiny blue oval located on her chest. She continued to dust herself from the sand as she looked into the distance.

"No ones here," She said in a raspy voice. The trip here did make her weaker than usual. She briskly took a step, her feet burning from the hot sand. Where's Lapis, she thought. Where are those Crystal Gems Peridot was talking about?Where's Peridot and Jasper? What happened??

The questions flew around Aquamarine's head, causing her to get a headache. She continued to walk on the beach, looking at the water, hoping that Lapis Lazuli will come out of it. Then maybe, they could fuse once more, into Tanzanite.

Something appeared in the distance, a town of some sort(Aquamarine had read about them) She hesitated, but started sprinting toward it.

"Welcome to Beach City," Aqua read. She looked at the city. Tiny, yet cute buildings lined the cornerstones, boardwalks going toward the water. And on the beach, was a GEM TEMPLE! Delighted, Aquamarine quickly shapeshifted into a dog, trying to disguise herself. She hustled toward the temple, finding a figure sitting in the sand. LAPIS! her heart sang. She was about to pounce and transform back to herself, but then the figure turned around.

This figure was thick, and had a short curly hair on his head. His eyes warm and welcoming.

"WOW A DOG!" The stranger giggled and started petting Aqua. A human? Aqua wasn't sure. She moved her muzzle around his torso, looking for something familiar. Her muzzle hit something hard. She quickly lifted the shirt to reveal a pink gem.

"ROSE QUARTZ?" She gasped. She fell backward as the boy looked at her. Aquamarine shapeshifted into herself again, her familiar curly hair fall behind her. She quickly pulled her weapon from her Gem, a battle mace.

"What are you?" She squeaked. The boy looked bewildered for a moment, then giggled.

"HI!" He greeted. "I'm Steven!"
