“So you escaped with that sword…” Yume said.

Zedina nodded.

“I’ve heard stories about that sword from my grandfathers. Stories that can be traced back to the time of King Reign I.”

“Your family must be one of the oldest in Kelvana,” Zedina said, studying Yume and thought about how her composure at the moment could pass up as royalty. “Was there any other dream linker in your family?”

“Granny. My father's mother. She helped me when she found out that I can dream link. And according to her, there were a few others way before her.”

“Your family must have been greatly favored by the spirits of sleep and dreams.”

“Cloud and I will join Altaecia outside,” Garr said.

Zedina nodded, then glanced at Anyo, sleeping, and smiled.

“Please tell me when she gets hungry, okay?” Yume said.

Garr nodded and left with Cloud following behind him.

The dream linker turned to Zedina again with a shy smile. “I still would like to apologize for what happened earlier between me and Cloud.”

“There is nothing to apologize for. We are quite used to seeing Cloud being treated that way.”

“Oh my… it’s Lady Altaecia, isn’t it? I’ve seen her in Cloud’s dreams many times. In his dreams though, Altaecia is quite friendly.”

The lady spell caster chuckled while shaking her head slowly.

“With your reaction, I guess it’s the opposite.”

“You have no idea what Cloud went through with Altaecia,” she started to explain. "Cloud just gets on your nerves most of the time. Altaecia is not really the kind of person who would fool around especially when she is irritated already with something or someone. They just do not get along. It even came to a point when she aimed an arrow at him.”

“Oh dear…” Yume gasped.

“You need not worry. She was not able to release it. Cloud is quite fast at running,” the spell caster assured her. “Anyway, can you help us get some provisions before we leave?”

“Are you leaving already?” The younger woman stood in a hurry, a surprise look on her face.

"Well..." Zedina glanced at the children, then added, "If it is fine with you, we would like to stay and rest until tomorrow. The prince and Majica are quite exhausted.”

“Of course, it’s fine with me. I was hoping you’d ask me that.” Yume looked at the children too then frowned a little. “Is Majica hurt? She looked so pale.”

“She was exhausted from the fight.”

“And the sleeping guy?”

“Anyo gets really tired after every battle.”

Yume nodded and looked at Rei who was sleeping peacefully on the other cushioned chair. “He’s such a handsome boy.” She sat close to him with a peaceful smile on her lips. Then she stroke Rei’s hair and entered his dreams involuntarily. Zedina knew what was happening. Yume was just sitting there, touching Rei’s hair and she was motionless with her eyes closed.
