An Unlikly Love Story

Hey everypony! Here is another chappie! This was requested by flute_player_1 ! I hope u like it!

I watched as the butter colored pegasus with pastel pink hair cleaned around the house. She really was beautiful but she'd never love me. I'm a whole different species! I sighed and put my head in my claw as she finished up and collapsed next to me on the couch. Her hair went over her left teal eye and she slightly brushed it away with a hoof. My red and yellow eyes went dreamy as her teal colored eyes met my red and yellow eyes. She giggled.
"What's so funny Fluttershy?" I asked. She giggled again.
"You're mouth is hanging wide open Dissy." She said. I blushed as she called me by my nickname. Thunder rumbled outside and lightning lit up the sky. Fluttershy whimpered and buried her head into my chest. I blushed hardcore as she did this. She then realized what she was doing and her face came out bright red. I looked at the time to see it was getting late.
"Oh dear Fluttershy. It seems it's getting late. We should be getting to bed." I said. She refused to move. She was frozen with fear from the storm. I sighed and picked her up gently in my arms and carried her up to bed. I set her onto the bed and tucked her in.
"Goodnight Flutters." I said. Her face went pink as she waved at me. I closed the door silently and went into my room. Laying on my bed,a tear went down my face. She'll never love me. I've been told she likes Big Mac more than anyone and I sighed,a tear falling from my eye and landed onto the bed. I lay down under the blanket and stared up at the ceiling. She certainly was beautiful and she was the only one who would give me a chance. She's one of my only friends and I'm grateful for that.
"I......I.......I think I love her." I said to myself. My heartbeat sped up and butterflies fluttered in my stomach as I said that. I closed my eyes and gave way to the darkness.

I gave a shaky breath as I heard hoofs steps outside the door. Fluttershy had gone to the market and was on her way back now. I was going to tell her how I feel. The knob rattled ad the door opened to reveal Fluttershy with a familiar red stallion. My heart skipped a beat when I recognized Big Mac. He had a big smile on his face as Fluttershy's face was red. Tears threatened to fall down my face as I saw him nuzzle her. I flew out the door,tears spilling down my face. She doesn't love me. She never will! She's with Big Mac now.
"Discord!" I heard a yell behind me. I kept flying as I recognized Fluttershy's voice. I flew into a cave and cried myself to sleep.

Fluttershy's POV

I trotted into the door with Big Mac close behind me. He had insisted on coming with me. I opened the door to Discord on the couch. He turned his head to look at me and his smile went away as he saw Big Mac. I gasped as I felt Big Mac nuzzle me. With tears streaming down his face,Discord flew away.
"Discord!" I called out to him,my heart broken. Big Mac trotted over and put a hoof around me. He leaned into my ear.
"I really like you Fluttershy. Will you be my special somepony?" He whispered. I was silent for awhile. I then took a deep breath and looked into his eyes.
"I'm sorry Big Mac. You're a great colt and you'll make somepony very happy someday but I love somebody else. I'm sorry." I said. All was silent until he broke the silence with a sigh.
"I understand Flutters." He said. He turned around and trotted out of the cottage. I flew out and tried to find Discord.
"Discord! Discord!" I called,my voice panicked. I was flying around when I heard sobbing. It was coming from a cave high up. I swallowed in fear and flew up. I got up safely and went in to see Discord sobbing in the corner of the cave. I quietly went over and put a hoof on his shoulder. He turned around,his face streaked with tears.
"Fluttershy?" He asked. I nodded. His eyes then flashed with anger.
"Why are you here?! You hurt me and now you've came here?!" He yelled at me. I backed up with a small whimper. He stood up and stomped towards me.
"Dissy. You're scaring me!" I cried out. His nostrils flared.
"Don't call me Dissy!" He screamed. He raised his claw up and was about to swipe at her when she let out a sob. His eyes softened and he slowly put down his claw and looked into my teal eyes.
"I....I......in sorry Fluttershy. I don't know what got into me. I better go." He said. And with that,he flew away.
"Discord!" I called after him. He didn't even look back as he faded into the distance. I curled up in the middle of the cave and cried.

Still Fluttershy's POV

It's been four months since Discord ran away. I miss him so much. Cried myself to sleep every night,the pain unbearable. I was sulking on the couch when I heard a soft knock on the door. I grumbled and got up to answer it. I opened the door and my sadness disappeared. Standing there,tall and proud,stood Discord.
"Discord!" I exclaimed. I rushed over and knocked him over with a hug. He laughed and hugged me back. I started crying into his chest,my tears soaking his chest. He curled around me and comforted me until I stopped. I looked up,my teal eyes connecting with his red and yellow eyes.
"I love you Discord." I said.
"I love you too Fluttershy." He said,smiling. He leaned in and kissed me. I kissed him back eagerly. His paw went behind my head and we continued kissing passionately. We stopped when we were out of breath and looked into each other's eyes. I gave him another hug and he carried me to the clinch. He curled around me and we fell asleep. We may be different, but we made our unlikely love story work.
