THE INAUGURAL ADDRESS OF HRH, EMPRESS ALEXANDRIA SCORPIUS

DIVINE RULER OF THE ASTROLOGICAL COMMONWEALTH

My citizens,

After writing his first letter, my brother Philip began his journey across this Commonwealth-- managing to reach every territory to connect with my constituency before arriving on the steps of the Imperial Mansion. His passion and dedication to our nation and the concerns of citizens are not only extremely valued in my mind, but also highly impressive considering he was so oppressed by the government in which he held so much faith in. Despite this faith, and despite his service to all of us; this government, my government, ended his life.

Once he had died at the hands of my guards outside the halls of my home, I ordered his letters be sent to my room. Upon reading his first letter, which, thankfully, was brief; I ordered my medical team to conduct a DNA test to assure Philip was true in his claims to be my kin. The test came back that we were indeed related, closely enough to be siblings. After reviewing the results, I was understandably infuriated.

I ordered a full scale investigation into finding the guards involved with my brother's murder. I read through his letters to look for signs of danger. Thankfully, later on in his letters, Philip expanded on how he was being followed by Ariesan soldiers. I can assure you now that all involved parties have been dealt with and punished accordingly as Libran law sees fit.

As you read on, understand that everything my brother addresses, whether it be the concerns of citizens or crimes conducted by my government, have and continue to be considered and included in the creation of my future policies. All crimes conducted by the government are under investigation as I write this address and all guilty parties will be tried to the full extent legally allowed.

With that being said, before including the next letters, let me assure you all citizens' names mentioned by Philip not removed for the sake of this address have my full protection as Empress of the Commonwealth. No officer or laborer in my administration or in the Ariesan military may threaten or hurt any of those listed in these letters. If any one of the listed citizens is targeted, arrested, or otherwise hurt because of this report, the enacting party will receive the same punishment they conducted on their victim along with being tried as a traitor of the Commonwealth.

To all those included: thank you for your input and service, you need not worry of your inclusion on this report. You are a national hero for speaking up against the corrupt administration I have inherited, and your words will not go unheard.

HRH, Empress Alexandria Scorpius

HRH Alexandria Scorpius,

I have spent the past few days, as promised, conversing and listening to the stories and concerns of your Sagittarian constituents. This letter includes some takeaways and conclusions I have made through meeting with the people whose names were included in the 500 signatures sent previously. However, before including the conclusions I made regarding these conversations, I feel it is necessary to first expand briefly on my experience with my community, the Sagittarian people.

Ever since I was placed in this territory as a child, I have been taught by my elders and the community of the territory to embrace the values of optimism, gratitude, and independence. Our late biological grandmother, who passed away just recently, was the only other Sagittarian I found in our biological family. I met her on accident while gathering the signatures I spoke of earlier, and our quick interaction is where I wish to begin my report.

Eleanor Salverson was a primary school educator from a village half a day away by foot from my hometown. She had a strong passion for teaching the local Sagitarrian youth of her community the importance of our territory's values: optimism, gratitude, and independence. When I collected her signature, we spoke on my far-fetched quest to meet you on your 24th birthday. Upon hearing my plans, she smiled and commended me as a patriotic optimist before stressing the importance of calculation. Although our interaction was brief, Eleanor provided me with sound advice on how to conduct my mission before having to leave.
