[Louis' P.O.V]

The woman claiming to be Harry's mother was honestly the last thing I expected. My head snapped back in surprise and my brow furrowed. Harry leaned into me, completely unsure on how to react to the situation.

"I've been searching for you for quite some time now, Harry," the woman told him. "My name's Ella but... you could call me Mum, if you'd like."

I shook my head, "How can we believe you're his mother?"

"By taking my word that I'm his mother," she glared. "How do you want me to prove it to you?"

"When's his birthday?" I pulled the younger boy closer to me protectively.

"February 1st," she crossed her arms impatiently. "I believe the scientist Lucca Shell named him Harry Edward, and he has my last name. Styles."

"You are... Harry's mum?" the boy squeaked from my side, and I brushed my hand across his back.

"I'm your mum, Harry," the women replied. "I know you don't know me all that well, but would you like to come live with me?"

"No!" I hissed. "You don't just get to show up after missing nineteen years of his life and decide you'd like to claim him as your son!"

"I don't think you're the person who has a say in any of this, young man," Ella snapped, turning her attention to Harry. "What do you say, Harry dear?"

Harry's eyes widened and his brow furrowed. He grabbed for my hand, shyly looking at the ground as he asked, "C-can Louis come?"

"Well, no Harry, it'd just be you and I," Ella shook her head.

Harry's face showed that he'd made up his mind in an instant, and he offered Ella an apologetic smile, "Harry will just stay with Louis."

Ella protested, "But Harry! We could catch up, become close like we should have been! Believe me, I didn't want to leave you with that man... but it was the best thing to do for the both of us! I wasn't ready for a baby."

I released Harry's hand to wrap an arm around his waist as I glared at the older woman, "Even if you weren't ready for a baby you should have made sure your baby was in good hands and not with some psycho, although I admit he's not too bad now, scientist."

"Are you saying that you would prefer it if I hadn't gone to Lucca Shell so that Harry would be normal?" Ella accused. "Surely if you're friends with him you don't mind the cat ears..."

"No that's not what I'm saying!" I gasped. "I love Harry for who he is. For your information, Harry and I are much more than friends. He's my baby now. My boyfriend."

"Sure," she huffed in an eye rolling tone. "I'm sure you do love him for who he is."

"Louis does love H-Harry," Harry spoke for me before I could blow up on the woman.

I stood on the pavement holding Harry close and practically seething with rage. Ella sighed, but nodded, "Fine, Harry. You don't have to come with me today. But I'll convince you eventually. You'll end up wanting to come live with me. I promise."
