For the next entire week, his hopes have risen. As long as even an ember of chance was possible for the young god to leave his realm, he would keep his positivity. All he wanted was to explore the outside world, see the bright azure skies of the overworld and feel the heat of the scorching, hot lava oceans of the nether. He longs to explore deep caverns, watch how the glowberries emit even the slightest bit of light, hanging from dangling leaves from tunnel ceilings. All of these thoughts motivated him to keep hoping everything would go smoothly, and would go his way.

Day 1...
He was picking chorus fruits in the palace gardens when he heard his father and sister debating.
"I, in my most genuine regards, suggest that father passes the eye to my brother in thy honor. It is my wish to see my brother nothing but satisfied with his fate and the prosperous years that run ahead of him." The blonde goddess approached the throneroom of the End god's, in hope to convince him to switch who will hold the power of the eye in their hands permanently.
"My starling, no need to be formal. I know you hope for the best for him. You have always been a kind soul, taking responsibilities left and right...something which I can't say the same for your brother." He steps down from this throne, approaching the murals painted to the wall, images revealing every successor of the end that came before himself.
"You know, he would not make a responsible deity. His foolishness accompanied by his stubbornness would only do no good to our Royal bloodline and the generations to come. His reckless actions would only lead the realm to its demise." No matter how much the God wanted to believe that his words were only false and exaggerated remarks, he knew deep down they are the closest things to the origin, if truth could be measured by a line.
"I understand, father. But his curiosity and devotion to see things in different perceptions are to be admired upon, not to be overlooked. I think he could even unite—" the young blonde was interrupted as she tried to convince her father.
"This realm, our home. It will never be able to unite with the other dimensions. Not in this life." Vision sighed.
DreamXD's spark of hope started to dwindle, but he still believes that his father and go through, hopefully through his sister's persuading.
Day 2 passed breezily, nothing happened...yet.
Day 3...
The dirty blonde was doodling in his book made out of overworld paper when he heard his father's announcement in the palace fields. He peeked his curious head just slightly out of the rim of the window to barely hear the words of the god.
"Your aunt will be training you in the art of dragon taming, Good luck." And with that, Vision walked away from the fields, leaving DreamXD's little sister and their aunt, ViviXV, to commence their lessons.
From the corner of her eye, DristaXD seemed to notice his brother watching the training session unfold from the palace windows, and a little light crystal popped in her head.
"Actually, may I be excused for just a moment?" Drista asked as she quickly sprinted back into the palace, causing DreamXD to raise an eyebrow and look in confusion as to what his younger sibling was planning. Not long after though, the youngster snapped into DreamXD's room, nearly scaring the living immortality out of the young God's consciousness.
"AHH— never do that again." He buried his face into his palms, startled by the sudden appearance of his sister right behind him. DristaXD laughed in amusement, having scared her brother, but slowly calmed herself down to get straight to the point of her presence in his room.
"Well I came here to bring you to the dragon ring. Dad's out for like the entire day so maybe I can convince VividXV to allow you to join in on the lesson." Her voice was laced with excitement and courage.
Dream hesitated, he knew father told him not to interfere with any of his sister's courses, especially not the ones which would impact her ruling of the realm when she dawned the crown. However, knowing he needs to take every little opportunity he receives, he accepts the offer and decides to follow his sister's invitation.
Day 4...
Day 5... More reading and studying...
Day 6, the final day before the god announces the next heir in the line, to inherit the throne and the eye of ender.
DreamXD sat nervously in his room, thinking whether all that was done in the week was worth enough to change his father's perception of his son. For all week, he had been doing everything possible to level his chances of becoming the next deity. The dirty blonde would definitely have to thank his sister if his father does rethink his choices.
It was late in the evening, and he was too much of a nervous wreck to sleep.
To regain control over his emotions, he decides to pull the book he so loves out again. He flipped back a few chapters, to catch up on the parts of the stories he just so happens to 'accidentally' skip...
' "You're such a square, come relax with me for a little!" The pretty brunette remarked over his shoulders while basking under the daylight and in the crystal clear lake from the forest waterfall.
The tall blonde hissed, he despised resting, conducting any actions that involved him 'wasting' his time to stop at his tracks and release the death grip he had over his mind. He was training again, slashing down the forestries with skills and technicality any ordinary could only dream of having. Every movement, strike, twist of his shoulders, turn of his head, were near perfect. Perfect tiny movements that guarantee a victory for every battlefield he lands his feet on. Every battle...unless when it comes to the man standing in front of him.
The man who won every battle, every fight, was weak against just a frail brunette, the one who he so calls as his 'best friend'. And he stared, with oh so eyes, hazel and green like the deepest rainforests and healthiest woods. He stared at the man, enjoying himself in the waterfall, wearing a beautiful smile on his face, eyes shut and melting into the soothing feel of the waves. To no surprise, Curiosity and intrigue was eating away at the blonde's heart, whispering him to yearn more of the man in the lake, the waterdrops gliding down the brunette's body...would instead be his lips, kissing pure fire and love onto his skin, burning him with just the right degree. Would instead be his hands, roaming every curve and bump of his figure, like worshipping the presence of a god, praising him with such devilish lust-filled touch—'
A knock was heard from DreamXD's door.
Footsteps were audible as the door opened and a familiar voice echoed in the room.
"Son, we need to talk."
Dream snaps the book shut and relocates it back to its designated shelf. His father was sure to throw a flaming catapult if he were to see his son reading such writing again.
"About what." Dream spoke, his tone dry.
"...Your sister has been helping you. And I know how much you long to receive the staff." VisionXD spoke as his son widened his eyes, wondering how his father found out.
"But you should've known by now that nothing gets past me, not even anything with you." VisionXD spoke again. DreamXD was left to think on his own, what his father's next words or action was going to be. As he was there, brushed with fear, his father said the one thing he dreaded he would do by the end of the week.
"I expect you to attend your sister's coronation tomorrow, goodnight DreamXD."
Well fuck.
