I've never felt my fingers type with such speed before than at this point in time.
Aston just went to the bathroom to change into more comfortable clothing, preparing for our 'slumber party.'
'How's the sleepover mijita?' My mom texts me just as I was about to Google something. I aggressively swipe her message to dismiss it, since I have more pressing matters to deal with.
I type 'How to tell if your crush likes you' into the search bar and press enter. In my defense, he didn't go into the fact if he likes me or not, so when it doubt, just Google your problems. The first result that I see is 'You think your crush likes you? Take this quiz to find out!' So I pressed that link faster than you can say 'Percogesic.'
You don't know what that is? Then just Google it, duh.
The first question on the quiz is 'How did you guys meet?' Unfortunately, this was a multiple choice quiz so the choice 'I accidentally ran over his dog' isn't an option so I picked 'We met at school.'
The next question is 'Does he tease you?' so you best believe I pressed the 'Yes!' option very quickly. After flying by a few questions I'm now at the last one which is 'Do you really think he likes you?', which is honestly hard to answer if the choices are either 'Yes' or 'No.' Aston's footsteps as he walks down the stairs are echoing through his house with is cue that my time is running short. I hastily press 'Yes' and impatiently wait for the results to load.
'You got: Uh oh! He thinks you're a complete psycho!'
(a/n: This is a real quiz I found on Google and that's the actual result I got... I can't believe I wasted my time doing it but it's for the book's content so oh well, back to the story!)
"Are you hungry?" Aston asks as he walks in the kitchen. I instinctively sit on my phone and smile up at him with my hands folded on the countertop.
"Sure! What are you gonna make?"
"I was thinking something my cooking capabilities can handle, like a grilled cheese." I amusingly gaze at him. "Sounds delicious, need help?"
He nods as he sticks his head in the refrigerator, pulling out the sliced cheddar cheese and butter. I hop off the stool and walk over to him, grabbing the sliced white bread. He pulls out a pan from the cabinets under the island and places it on the stove, turning the heat up.
"So what else do we have planned for this slumber party?" I say wiggling my eyebrows as I spread the butter on the toast and pass it to him, so he can place the cheese and start cooking it.
"We could watch Netflix." He says as he lays the first grilled cheese on the pan.
"Oh, we can watch Netflix with facemasks!" I say, finishing up the last sandwich and neatly piling it up on a plate so Aston can cook them. He looks at me with a puzzled expression. "You fool, I didn't let you buy them at Wal-Mart."
I give him a malicious smile and skip over to my bag and pull out a Wal-Mart bag with the facemasks inside. He instantly groans and rolls his head. I place the facemasks on the counter and walk over back to Aston, sitting on the countertop next to the stove.
I watch him as he delicately flips the grilled cheese over to its side by flipping the pan and I clap in response. "You got some sick moves there Rivera."
"Those aren't the only moves I know." He says nudging my leg with his elbow.
"Oh, you know how to dance too?" I ask innocently. He scoffs in disbelief and places the first grilled cheese on a plate, handing it to me.
