The Domino Effect

It was another peaceful day in amphibia, After the last couple of nights of what happen to anne and hop pop everything was back to normal. Earlier in the morning david went off hunting for some food. In the forest david set up this wicket trap that he have in his head, he waited for some creature to walk by the trap. One did and it turns out that it was a smaller praying mantis that got spooked by the giant red mantis that tried to eat him and anne. When it step onto a tight string it set off the trap. Large log came swinging and knocks the mantis sending it flying across the forest and got impale by wooden spears that you set up killing it instantly, bring it back to the house, david and the plantars eat the meat inside of the mantis but anne was a little hesitant of eating of bug but he told that it tasted like crab meat so she went in and took a bite of it and to her surprised it did tasted like crab. The family enjoy eating the mantis meat but something was still on his mind, you looked at the remaining shells of the mantis and it blades. Which you gain an ideas.

Later david anne and sprig decided to play baseball but since they don't enough players to play the game properly and don't have an actual ball or bat or even a mitten, so they came up with a new game. Sprig was rolling a watermelon to a tiny hill as david is playing the batter holding a the red mantis arm that he got from killing the red mantis and he also made a mantis shoulder guard with the remaining shells. Plus he also made a pairs of mantis armguards with a special mechanism, when activated the mantis blades would spring out like actual mantis arms kind a like the ones from a certain video game from 2077.

David stepped onto the plating and lightly tap the side of his right shoe on the scythe as if it was a bat before getting into position "alright sprig throw it to me!" david said struggling at first sprig manage to roll the melon onto the pitching mount, then using his strength he throws the watermelon at david. And the moment sprig throws it, david swing the scythe and cutting the melon in two.

david anne and sprig walked over to the slice melon and picked them up, putting them back together, they saw how close david was cutting the melon in the middle. Wow you almost got it perfect! Sprig said tsk I can do better than that anne said with a smirk "oh if that's so? *He held the scythe to her* by all means, anne, show us what you got" you got it *anne takes the scythe as sprig runs back to the pitching mount, anne walked up to the plate and got ready to swing, david sat on a tree trunk* hey, batta batta batta!. Lifting up the melon sprig throws it also falling face first, as the melon came towards her, she took a full swing but misses the melon and the scythe slips out of her hand "Ah, whiffed it. (Gasps) Sprig!" Huh? "WATCH OUT!" *Sprig quickly ducked down from the incoming scythe as it went through the trees. The trio stared at where the scythen went then sprig's hat split into two piece which also reveals that he has orange hair* wanna go again? He asked Yeeeaaahhh!/Yeeeaaahhh!... Also, you have hair? Anne asked pointing at sprig's hair.

Soon the trio entered the forest to look for the mantis scythe while anne apologies for splitting sprig's hat. Hey, sorry about your hat. Oh, there it is! She said as she found the scythe that got lodge in the tree as the holy light shines upon it, but just as she was about to grab it, she heard what sounded like a cat meowing "did you guys hear something?" Anne ask heard what? Sprig said joined her. She shush him as they listened for the sound again and then another meow echoed through the forest again "Am I hearing things or, is that a cat meowing?" David said as they hear another meowing of distress.

(Gasp) something in trouble! Anne said. Running towards the direction where the meowing is, david and sprig followed her. The trio ran until coming out in the clearing and saw the source of the meowing. They all gasped in shock when they three saw three giant wasp flying around a small creature stuck in the mud, the creature kept meowing as it struggle to escape while the wasp try to stung around it. Oh, my gosh! We have to save her! Anne exclaimed before rushing towards the animal "wait anne don't rush in by yourself!" David said before running after her "right behind ya" sprig added as he pulls out his faithful slingshot. Anne slide across the ground, reaching for the creature in distress and grabbed hold of it, pulling it with all her might she freed it from the mud. lying on her back and holding it up "gotcha!" But then the wasps dived down with their stingers to stung her but they misses, then david come charging in and flick out his mantis blade that used the blades to slice through the wasp's abdomen as it screech in pain and jump up swung downward slicing the head off as it drops head "come on! We got to go!" David said taking anne's hand and pulled her up as the two wasp were about to attack but were interrupted when sprig starts hitting them with stones "Take that, buzz brains! Go sting someone your own size!" He said mocking the wasp "Sprig! Quit mocking them and let's go!" David shouted as he and anne ran past him and to the forest "Sprig out! Peace!" He hopping backwards into the bushes.
