Chapter 6 Shining Knight's fair maiden

Justin Arthur was adjusting to modern life. He knew he would never see his friends or family from that time again. But now he had new friends and family. Jason was still there too even though Jason was a bit older than he was while he was still a fledgling knight even now in this date and time. They were still friends. 

Justin was amazed by many things in modern life. His new friends were helping him to adjust. He was amazed by every little thing. "So much to see and do," Justin said one day while they were out.

"Yes there is much to do at the mall," Hannah said. "Here at the mall there are many stores full of different things, like clothes, toys, games, shoes, and other things." she said. "There is even a food court where you can get food." she said. "Just remember you have to pay for this stuff," she said.

"That makes sense," Justin said. "What kind of place is that?" he asked pointing.

"Oh that is a place where people get their fingernails or toenails done, like get them clipped and filed and getting this stuff called nail polish put on it, it is suppose to be relaxing," Kara explained. 

"I see," Justin said.

"If you ask me it's kind of girly," Terry said.

"Terry men get manicures and pedicures too, they just get clear polish and not colored." Hannah said.

"There are even places where they cut your hair," Greg said. "They will cut and even color it anyway you want," he said. "Just remember that stuff costs money too," he said.

"Okay," Justin said.  

"Oh the video game store, I just remembered I had saved up more than enough for the game system I want with a game I want." Hannah said. Then went inside and purchased it and was carrying a bag with things inside. 

"What is with this?" Justin asked.

"It is a shopping bag, when you buy something they normally put it inside one so it is easier to carry," Hannah said. 

"What is this piece of paper?" Justin asked.

"It is a receipt it is what shows proof that you bought something," Terry said.

"Amazing," Justin said.

Justin was amazed by Hannah and thought she was incredible. She was the most amazing fair maiden Justin had ever met. But he felt a maiden such as she was surely spoken for and already had a man for her.

Greg noticed Justin looking at Hannah and smiling. "I think you  got a crush on Hannah," Greg said.

"Huh?" Justin said.

"I mean is you are infatuated with her," Greg said. "You know smitten or in love," he said.

"I think she is amazing and on of the most fair maidens I have ever met, but I am sure she already has someone so I feel like I can't be with her," Justin said.

"To be honest Justin, Hannah doesn't have a boyfriend anymore," Greg said.

"Oh what happened?" Justin asked.

"They broke up, Hannah says he dated another girl while dating her so she dumped him, especially after he said he was using her for her smarts to get good grades, and dating the other girl because she was a real beauty and she wasn't pretty," Greg said. "So she is still pretty sore about it," he said.

"How do you know that?" Justin asked.

"Well she told me and others about it before you came here, we all agreed that would make anyone sore about dating for while, and I don't know if she is over it yet so you may have a chance," Greg said.

"Well she is a lady and should be treated as such," Justin said. "She had feelings and she deserves to be treated like the beautiful and charming lady she is," he said.

"There you go," Greg said. "We cow pokes also treat ladies with respect, I was taught to treat every girl like a lady because all girls are ladies," he said. 

"What are you two talking about?" Jason asked coming up. He recently became a teacher at the school.

"Justin likes Hannah, but he was worried she already had boyfriend until I explained to him she broke up with her old boyfriend due to him being a jerk, he is unsure about going to try be with her," Greg said.

Justin looked embarrassed. 

"Well Justin that is nothing to be embarrassed about, but feeling unsure is normal, falling for someone is normal at your age. So if you like her go for it, and true there maybe a chance of getting your heart broken, but there is a chance it may work out," Jason said. "You won't know unless you try." he said.

"Okay," Justin said and went up to Hannah who was playing a game. "Hey Hannah," he said.

"Oh hi Justin," Hannah said. 

"What are you doing?" Justin asked.

"Playing a video game," Hannah said. 

"What are you doing in the game fighting a monster?" Justin asked.

"It is Pokemon Mystery dungeon and this is a part of the story where I am in the dungeon that has a boss on it, and you need to defeat it in order to move on and it is not easy," Hannah said. "This is my fourth time and I am not going to admit defeat," she said.

"Well just keep trying you can do it," Justin said.

Then the boss was defeated. "Yes I did it," Hannah said.

"Looks like you did good," Justin said.

"Yes I did," Hannah said.

Then Justin sat next to her. "So uh Hannah would you mind if I sat with you at lunch?" Justin asked.

"Not at all," Hannah said.

"Great," Justin said.

Justin sat with Hannah at lunch. "So Justin do you want to ride horses together sometime?" Hannah asked while they were eating.

"You ride horses too?" Justin asked.

"Yes I have my own horse, I call her Stardust," Hannah said. "She is a great horse," she said.

"Well it would be nice," Justin said.

Hannah showed him her horse. "Oh she is beautiful." Justin said. He brought out Victory. "Victory meet Stardust," he said.

His stallion sniffed and touched his snout against Stardust's who nuzzled back.

"I think they like each other," Hannah said.

"Well then how about we saddle up and go for a ride?" Justin said.

So they got their horses ready and went for a ride. They were having fun. "You know Justin I am glad we did this, it is fun to ride with someone. Everyone else doesn't want to do it, except for Vigilante but he left his horse back at his home," Hannah said.

"Well I enjoy a nice horse back ride too, it is nice and relaxing," Justin said.

After that Hannah and Justin became very close friends. Justin was hoping to win Hannah's heart. He hoped to do it in away of nobility and honor like any knight.
