Chapter 4 Splicing

Hannah was out and noticed something. There was someone in a heavy cloak and they bumped into her. "Oh sorry." she said.

"Excuse me I got to go," the girl said and went to leave.

Hannah noticed the cloak moved a bit and the girl had stripes. Like that of a tiger. "Hmm," Hannah said. She decided to push it aside and head back to the school. "Hey Hannah your back, did you enjoy your shopping?" Shayera asked.

"I did but I bumped into a girl today unlike everyone unless on this hot day she was wearing a heavy cloak and when she left I thought I saw something like tiger stripes on her skin," Hannah said.

"Probably just a tattoo." Hank suggested who was listening.

"Maybe not she seemed a bit worried and concerned and desperate to get away I didn't smell anything dangerous on her. I think something must've happened to her." Hannah said.

"How can you be sure?" Garth asked.

"She just seemed a bit withdrawn like something was really wrong, I feel she maybe in trouble I will see if I can find her again and get her to talk to me," Hannah said.

A bit later that week Hannah went out again and saw the girl in the heavy cloak again. She came up to her. "Don't worry I don't want to hurt you, I just want to talk," Hannah said. "Are you okay?" she asked.

"It's kind of a long story," the girl said. "My name is Taylor Cuvier." she said.

"I am Hannah Maxston is everything okay?" Hannah asked.

"I don't know it is hard to explain." Taylor said.

"Well I know some people who can help you if you are in trouble." Hannah said. "Here is the number of one them call her and she will answer call if you have too." she said.

"Okay," Taylor said and took the number.

Hanna noticed Taylor had claws and decided to do research back at the academy.

Once back the academy she started to search the name Cuvier. "She said her name was Taylor Cuvier." Hannah said.

"Okay," Rex said.

"I am looking up info on people with that last name," Hannah said.

Then the computer said a match was found. "Here we are Dr. Abel Cuvier, he is genetics scientists, he mainly specializes in the DNA of animals. It says here he had a wife but she died in a car wreck seven years ago and he has a daughter named Taylor Cuvier." Hannah said.

"What else does it say about him?" Terry asked.

"It says here he does many test with animal DNA to see how it can do things such as raise strength, speed, and other senses, but it seems he can't find anyone willing to be a tests subjects," Hannah said.

Then Hannah's phone rang. "Hello?" she said.

"My name is Taylor Cuvier is this one of Hannah Maxston's friends?" she heard. Then Hannah put it on speaker.

"Yes it is I am Wild heart and I am here with other friends of hers she told me something might be bothering you and you might call me," Wild heart said.

"It's my dad Dr. Abel Cuvier he has been genetically splicing me with tiger DNA and he has been doing it for years. I am really scared and I don't know what to do," Taylor said.

"Don't worry Taylor me and my friends will help you," Wild heart said.

"Where are you?" Terry asked.

"I am in my father's genetic lab I will give you the address," Taylor said then gave them the address.

"Don't worry we are coming," Wild heart said.

Then they suited up and headed out. To help Taylor.

They found the genetics lab and saw Taylor in a cage. "See what you get for going on before my experiments are through now let's continue." Dr. Cuvier said.

"Look there are two other kids in the cage with her and they look just as scared as she does," Booster Gold said.

"Please stop it," Taylor said.

"I want to go home," a boy with horns said.

"I want my mother," a boy who looked snake like said.

"Quit whining this is for the best," Dr. Cuvier said. "This is your home name Randy, and Stephen why would you want to go back home to your mother while you can have all this special work to help you become a wonder of science." he said.

"We got to stop him," Supergirl said.

"Agreed what do we do?" Hawk asked.

"We got to distract him some how," Aqualad said.

"I have an idea," Vigilante said. "Hey Shining Knight try to get his attention," he said.

"Okay," Shining Knight said then started to cause glinting with his sword. 

"Ugh where is that coming from?" Cuvier asked.

Then Wild heart and the others came down. "Dr. Cuvier you are shut down," Wild Heart said.

Terry went to work picking the lock on the cage.

Then Dr. Cuvier went on the attack. Then he saw his daughter and the two boys out of the cage. "Come and help me kids," Dr. Cuvier said.

Taylor and the two boys looked at each other. Then the pushed Dr. Cuvier back. "Do you know what you put us through?" Randy asked.

"The pain and fear." Stephen said.

"You made us into freaks, even me your own daughter!" Taylor said. "How dare you put us through all this?" she asked.

"For what to prove that you so called splicing can help people?" Randy asked.

"You made us ashamed of how we look now, how can Randy and I return to our homes and look our parents in the eyes while we look like this after you kidnapped us," Stephen said.

"Are you going to kill me?" Dr. Cuvier said.

"No we're not," Taylor said.

"We won't kill you," Randy said.

"Because unlike you we each have a conscious." Stephen said.

Then Booster Gold put Dr. Cuvier in cuffs.

"That takes care of Dr. Cuvier." Wild heart said. "Are you guys okay?" she asked.

"I don't know he said after all this the stuff he did to us is irreversible, so we are stuck like this," Taylor said.

"We might frighten people," Randy said.

"How we going to be normal kids again when we look like freaks?" Stephen asked.

"Where are we suppose to go now?" Randy asked.

"I have an idea," Wild heart said.

They took Taylor, Randy and Stephen to the Justice league academy and there they became part of the academy. Luckily for them Metamorpho had just joined as a teacher.

"This is a special holo disguise it can make you look like a normal person." he told them.

They tried out. "Wow we look normal," Taylor said.

They were eager to start training. Stephen and Randy came back to their homes and told everything to their parents and told them about the academy and their parents supported them.

Once back at the academy things were exciting now with three new students. They took up the names Tigress, Ram and Python as their hero names.
