Chapter 10

Aurelia's POV
I awoke in a lavished room feeling different.

The air felt different around me as I looked around. I was more sensitive to everything as my senses were stronger. I could see every dust particle in the air, I could hear people talking outside the room along with heartbeats, I sniffed the air and smelled three delicious scents.

One was roses, ink, and old books.

One was apples, sweet pastries, and wild flowers.

And the last one was pomegranates, paint, and blood.

Odd combinations, but the scents smelled homey and incredible to me. I whipped my head towards the scents and my frozen, dead heart leaped forward at the sight of my mates. They stood there patiently waiting for me to acknowledge them. See that I had Aro spoke up "Il mio tesoro, we've missed you-" he didn't get to finish as I had cut him off by speeding towards him and leaping into his arms and sealing his lips in a heated kiss.

My inner beast demanded that I claim my mates before someone else got any ideas. I pulled away from Aro and pulled Caius by his collar towards me and smashed my lips on his as well.

Realizing what I wanted Aro carried me to the bed where the ravished me the way my beast needed.

After we finished our little....reintroduction, Marcus asked me in a concern tone "Amor, as much as I love this time with you.....aren't you thirsty?"

I was confused about what he meant until a familiar burning erupted in my throat making me gasp and lunge forward with my hand on my throat. I was so distracted with claiming my mates, that I forgot about my thirst. I was immediately I was surrounded by my mates who fretted over me until Marcus handed me a bag of O-, I quickly grabbed it and sank my aching teeth into it. Once the bag was empty I pulled away feeling better. Marcus handed me another one and I drank it dry as well.

I looked up and licked my lips ensuring that I got every drop, before asking "What happened while I was out?" They then explained how they were forced to kill the troublesome trio after they attacked me, Afton was alright after being put together, but he felt guilty for not protecting me. The Cullens and my parents were here and already claimed the ashes known as Alice, Edward, and Bella.

Now they were awaiting me to wake up before deciding our next move. I nodded then stood up before getting ready for the day.

We then walked to the throne room where everyone awaited us. I was startled by the sight of three couples affection for each other as a smirk grew on my lips.

Jane and Damon whispered amongst themselves and occasionally Jane giggled making Damon's face light up.

Alec sat with Phoebe on his lap as he peppered butterfly kisses along her neck making her giggle and Alec smirk.

Finally in the furthest corner I saw Jasper stood closely next to Demetri with their pinkies interlaced. They seemed to be having a silent, intimate moment together.

"Well, I'm glad that me being unconscious helped my family find their mates" I announced startling them. I laughed before opening my arms wide and allowing Phoebe and Damon to rush forward and hug me. I carefully hugged them back before looking at the twin "You better take care of my little brother and sister, or I'll rip your heads off and put them on a shelf" they gulped and nodded.

Phoebe and Damon playfully pushed me before returning to their mates. I looked over at Jasper and Demetri and said "That goes for you too Demetri, no funny business" he immediately nodded "Yes, of course my queen."

'Is it wrong that I could get used to that?'

I then approached the thrones to find an extra one for me.

"Now, where do we begin?" I ask.
