The familiar buzz quickly returned as I took yet another drag of the drug, watching the smoke dance around me, disappearing once again. Louis and Harry had arrived with boxes upon boxes of alcohol.
"Thank fuck for mums credit card," Louis spoke, holding up a gold plastic card between his index and pointy finger.
I couldn't help but giggle, causing Leah to laugh with me, before we knew it we were once again, in fits of laughter.
Ah, I've missed this feeling.
"Drinking tonight?" A husky voice asked, I heard a can crack open beside me.
"No, most likely not." I answered Harry's question.
"Why not?"
"Because, I don't feel like it." I said, turning my body towards him.
He just nodded in response.
I wasn't a big fan of drinking, I didn't hate it, just wasn't fond of it. Deacoda used to get drunk, a lot, while we were together. She was an abusive alcoholic, the first time she ever hit me was when she was drunk, I had a huge bruise on my cheek for a week, the second time she got wasted, she broke my arm, twisting it behind me, I remember the pain shooting down my arm, as she continued to twist and twist my arm up, holding it behind me, until I heard the snap. The pain was indescribable.
"Char?" Leah said, snapping me from my thoughts, clicking her fingers in front of me "You with us?"
"Sorry.." I replied, shrugging "I was daydreaming."
"Why aren't you drinking tonight?" She asked me, whispering.
"Uh.. I have my reasons" I whispered back, looking up at her.
"Understandable, you can just smoke, if you'd like?" She said, smiling. I replied with a nod.
I loved how understanding Leah was, I'm so glad she wasn't one of those people that forced me to do something I wasn't comfortable with.
"Shots, shots, shots, shots!" Louis beamed, slamming a bucket of colourful liquidity substances on the table.
Ripping the lip off of three, and handing one to Leah, and one to Harry. Watching them put the small cups to their lips, and flicking their heads back.
"I'm going to go get ready." I said, pushing my chair out.
I grabbed my bag of the floor, near the kitchen counter.
"Where's your room?" I asked Leah, she was onto her fourth shot already.
"I'll show you." Harry offered, standing from his chair, I nodded.
Following him through the hallway, taking in the lovely bright features of the house, the hall ended, a wooden stair case on the left side, a huge room opened up to a lounge room on my right, I looked to my left, at the end of the staircase, was a smaller room, surrounded by bookshelves.
I followed the curly haired boy up the staircase, reaching the top of the stairs I was amazed, it was like another entire house placed ontop of another.
"Wow." I whispered, I heard Harry chuckle.
A double glasses door was opened, opening up a huge balcony, a small bar, and another large lounge room, four doors across from eachother, two each side. Harry walked towards a door, pushing it opened, I followed him, adjusting the strap of my takeaway shoulder bag, why was I so nervous around this boy? Maybe, it was because he's so large and intimating, or maybe it's because of his beautiful features. My inner self was slapping herself, for calling a male beautiful. I never got nervous around males, ever.
"This is Leah's room, the largest of them all. Her bathrooms in there." He said, pointing to another door.
"Thanks Harry." I said, giving him a small smile.
"No worries, Charl-" before he could finish his phone started playing, shoving his overly large hands into his pocket, pulling out an iPhone 6 plus, the phone didn't look that big in his hand.
"Hello. Yo.. Yeah, I'll unlocked the front door... Alright.. Yeah. Are the others coming?.. Okay, good. Cya man." He spoke, locking his phone.
"You'll meet the boys, by the way." He said, as I took my clothes out of my bag.
"So I've been told." I said, grabbing my straightener. "Can you tell me where the towels are?"
"Oh, yeah sure. I'll get you one. Two seconds" He spoke, leaving the room. I quickly checked my phone, quickly texting my dad informing him I wouldn't be home tonight. I heard footsteps coming towards Leah's bedroom.
"Here ya go." Harry reentered the room, passing me a dark green towel. I smiled, thanking him once again.
He awkwardly stood there for a few seconds, I cleared my throat looking at him.
"Oh, yeah. Right. Sorry." He said, scratching the back of his neck, exiting the room. I couldn't help but let out a small laugh, thankfully I wasn't the only awkward person here.
