It's been a month since you've liked Kuroko Tetsuya, the miracle of your school, Seirin. It's also been a month since Kagami Taiga had confessed to you.
-FLASHBACK-
"Uh... (Y/N)?"
"Yes, Kagami?"
"I- I like you..."
You blushed, then looked down at your shoes.
"I'm sorry, but I like someone else. You deserve better than me."
You had walked away, not seeing the furious glare the redhead was sending you.
-PRESENT-
Walking into the gym, you saw the Seirin basketball team practicing. Seeing Kuroko in a distance, you quickly walked over.
"Hello (Y/N)," said Kuroko, smiling slightly.
You hand him a note and quickly walk away.
I like you.
-(Y/N)
Kagami was staring at all of this.
'Kuroko... how dare he?'
-Later that day-
Walking home, Kagami asked Kuroko about the note.
"(Y/N) said she likes me... I'm glad she feels the same way-"
Kuroko falls to the ground as Kagami punches his back.
"HOW DARE YOU?" He screames, kicking the frail boy over and over.
Kuroko covered his head with his arms and curled into a ball, futile attempts to protect himself. That's when you barge into the scene.
"What do you think you're doing, Kagami?" You ask in an angry tone.
Kagami stares at you, bewildered. You help Kuroko up and see blood running from his forehead from where he hit the ground.
"Kagami, if you harm Kuroko in any way again, I swear I will kill you." You say in a deadly serious tone. Then you walk away, supporting Kuroko with your arm.
"(Y/N)... thank you..." Kuroko says weakly.
You smile at him in return.
"But next time... I... I want to be the one rescuing you."
You stare at the light blue haired boy, bewildered.
"For once I care more about myself than my teammates."
Kuroko pauses, gathering his courage.
"(Y/N), will you be mine?"
Kagami stands there, numb. A single tear escapes the corner of his eye.
'What have I done?'
