The Surprise (Part:1)

So today, I'm hanging out with Madison. it took a lot of convincing for my mom to let me hang out with Madison, but here's the catch, Jada has to tag along, Boooooooo! worst thing ever, but I still love my Jada-Wada, she's just annoying and 6 months pregnant.

My mom still has my phone and she only lets me use my laptop for homework. My mom takes punishing seriously, as you can see.

Right now, we're on the way to get some ice cream. I know its sounds typical, but I have reasoning behind it. See what Madison doesn't know is, that her crush Craig A.K.A Prod is going to be there with Roc and Ray. They both like each other, so were gonna play match makers and get them together. Exciting right?

"Jada can I use your phone real quick" I asked

"why?" she asked

"because I dont have one at this moment" I said

"here just use mine" Madison said handing me her phone, still looking at the road. I grabbed it then texted Roc to see if they were there yet. When he texted back saying, they were I deleted the messages.

When we got there, I acted casual and made sure everything flowed right.

"oh would you look at this, Roc and Ray are here....oh is that Craig too? hmm what a coincidence" I said, as if I was surprised. As expected, Roc and Ray turned around.

"oh what are you guys doing here?" I asked

"just thought we'd come chill out and get some ice cream" Roc said

"but you don't even have any ice-" Madison started saying.

"that's because uh....we like to wait before we actually get the ice cream" Ray said " Ain't that right Prod?" he asked

"What?" Prod responded

"ughh!! are you two slow? its obvious those three are trying to set you two up on a date, and we all know you both like each other. Now go get some ice cream, sit down and look cute" Jada said. We all looked at each other.

"Mood swings!" we all said together.

"How about us four go sit down on the other side of the restaurant" I suggested "but first I'm gonna get some ice cream" I added.

20 mins later

After sitting in a booth with Jada, Ray, and Roc, I got the idea to go check on Prod and Madison.

"I'll be back guys. Roc scoot over to I can get out" I said

"where you goin'?" Jada asked.

"to go check on something" I said, moving out after Roc. I walked to a corner I could peek around to check them on them. When I look around the corner, I didn't see them at the table where they were sitting. I know they didn't leave.

I walked over to the cashier. "Excuse ! Sir" I said.

"How may I help you" he said with a smile

"Um do you have any idea where the two people sitting here went?" I asked, pointing to the last place I saw them sit.

"Oh, them@ they left at least 15 minutes ago" he said

"D*amnit" I mumbled

"what was that?" he asked

"nothing" I said walking back to the table. I can't believe they actually left. "Code Turquoise guys, Code Turquoise" I said to Ray and Roc.

" code Turquoise?" Roc and Ray asked

"Do you two listen to anything I say?" I asked " Code Turquoise means they left" I said

"they left?" They asked

"No, they just went bye-bye" I said

"Just like we're gonna have to do. My just said we have get home now" Jada said

"What? Why?" I asked.

"I don't know why but, I wish we didn't have to. you guy were making me feel like I was in a reality show" Jada smiled. We all just looked at her, with the 'shut up' face.

"anyway, Roc you're gonna have to take us home, because Madison probably took her car" I explained

"what? yall feet don't work?" he said

"haha I guess you've forgotten what I know"I smirked

"the car's unlocked" he said. Then we all walked outside to his car.

When we got home, I rushed inside of the house with Jada behind me. The House was kind of quiet. Except for Jaden whi was in the kitchen. "Finally you two are here" I heard him say before closing the Microwave.

"Mom!" I yelled

"I'm upstairs!" she yelled back. I Ran up the stairs, as for Jada, She wobbled up them. I went in to my mom's room where I seen her sitting on her bed staring blankly at the wall. I so confused right now.

"Mom what wrong?" I asked, before I sat next to her.

After I dropped Ray off, I decided I would just go home. I walked inside the house, and my parents were sitting on the couch, as if they were waiting for me to come home. I already knew something was up.

"What's going on here?" I asked

"Chres, sit down please" My Father said. I did as I was told

"what up pops?" I asked, nervously. A million and one things were going through my head right now.

"Son, your mother and I have to go...." he trailed on

"you and mom have to go where?" I asked

"Afghanistan" he said.

When my pops said that, my heart literally stopped beating for a few seconds. I can't believe this, never have both of my parents had to go to war. I know they weren't lying by the look in their eyes.

"When do you leave?" I sighed putting my head down.

"In the morning" My dad said. mn y head shit up really quick.

"What?" I said

"We're sorry Chres, we have no control over this" my mom finally spoke.

"Where's Cam?" I asked

"At you're grandma's house" she said

"So I have to be here alone?" I asked

"We figured, you were old enough to stay here alone until we get back" my pops explained.

"how long will you guys be gone?" I asked.

"We dont know yet" they said

"wow! I'm going to bed, I need time process all of this" I said before standing up and walk up to my room.
